Curious (because the whole, getting out of the city interests me), what made you choose Tarcowie? What do you do for work out there?

In a bit of a pickle this week as how many Origin players back up will dictate how many players I can field. Because of this I’ll definitely have to trade Bird out just a week after I got him, either to Robson or Bateman. Here is the team I’ve cobbled together at this point with 11k bank

    Cook
    JDB Tapine Horse
    Preston Lemuelu
    Hynes Cleary
    Smith Manu
    Teddy Bula Walsh

    HEdwards
    Bird
    Ponga
    Hopgood
    DBrown
    Garrick
    Host
    IKatoa

I think I’ll be taking it a game at a time and unfortunately I may have to keep the likes of Katoa and Host just to get a score if there are mass restings. Any suggestions please guys?

We wanted out of the city for years, and the budget allowed us to get this place outright, no more renting. I was worried about the work situation at first but the lumber mill at Jamestown hires anyone with 2 legs, stayed there till I got a great job at an agricultural machinery place in Booleroo only 1/2 hour away. Well we're off, will report in this evening after a crushing N.S.W. victory.

    Gotta be an investigation

I have wondered this for years. He’s either not interested or there’s something the public doesn’t know. Makes zero sense that a coach with his record never got a crack somewhere else

Who do we reckon are the 3 biggest scoring fantasy MIDS?
Haas Carrigan and Yeo? Tino Murray or Cotter a shout?

Not the worlds biggest AOB fan but 2 finals appearances out of 3 years with a team that has literally played 3 games in 3 seasons with their first choice spine on the field doesn’t really scream widespread ridicule to me

Tarcowie, it's around 3 hours north of Adelaide. Look close on the map, we have a population of 12 lol.

I just took a google street view drive down the main strip!

A distinct lack of burnouts, which is very disappointing for a small rural town.

I don't have a strong opinion on the knights in general but he's got the 3rd worst win % of current coaches (only Holbrook and Webster over 13 games are worse) so it's safe to say he's not very good. He was the example I used since he was a Bellamy and Robbo protege. Also his "I watched 4 grand finals" comment.

It seems properly backwards that Toovey hasn't gotten a go anywhere else, but Trent Barrett did.

What do Robson owners think of Turpin? Surplus to requirements with R16 hooker already covered, or still worth it as a cashie?

Was assistant for Samoa at the WC last year, so he's at least somewhat involved.

But yeah, Occam's Razor suggests maybe he just isn't keen for a head coach gig anywhere.

These trades look pretty straight forward right?

    Sele > Turpin
    Bird > DEdwards
    Niko > JFH

Last trade could probably be easily done next week to be fair

Not worth the bother unless you really need someone cheap and can't go Liddle instead.

Whatever passing the eye test is, Turpin is the opposite of that.

Looks like I will play with 15 this week. Unless I want to exchange Crossland for a CTR or EDG

As a diehard Knights fan, I feel that AOB is probably a half-decent strategist (good for an assistant), but shite at man-management.
His go-to coaching move is to get angry and yell a lot.
    Belly-ache he ain't.
That said, the injuries to the Knights spine over the past 3 years have been nothing short of ridiculous.
