Not as bad luck as your playing missing the bus

At the start of the season, when you only get 2 trades a week, bad luck can easily blow out your rank. It is very much rich get richer to start the season. If you don't have injuries, and your team is scoring well, you also get to save trades and have the luxury of picking up missed cows. When your high value players are getting injured, that isn't an option.
Without bad luck, I would have been within top 1,000 after week 2, (decent scores from Ponga and Talau in the final game of the round would have ensured that, instead of early injuries), but because I was playing catch up with injuries and couldn't trade them out fast enough, my rank blew out to 20k.
Good trading since has got me back to 1,800 rank.
It would be naive to think that there isn't an element of luck involved, and bad luck is a killer. Fortunately have mostly been on the decent side of luck over the Origin period, with the teams named, but still getting hit by injuries that are wasting even more trades.

What guns are people looking at next round
It seems a lot of the targets for keepers I have in my tracker are post Origin buys (Fifita losing cash, Cleary returning from injury)
Wonder if it’s worth jumping on Origin guys going up in price (Yeo, Grant), though running risk of Origin 3 injury/poor backup mins
Not a whole lot of non Origin pickups to ditch all the Dogs players for

Grant or Munster for me. Both bottomed out. Going Munster probably means giving up on Cleary though
Grant higher priority

Grant would be a higher priority for me if not for the fact that I have only one half available next week (SJ), so Munster it is.

Cook - Turpin
IKat - Hynes
Ford - NAS
Gives me 12 for the week.
Turpin
Hopgood NAS
Preston Bateman
Olo Hynes
Manu Alamoti
Bula Drinkwater Ponga
Fifita JDB Robson Ted SJ Boyd Horse Tapine Lemmy
I may trade Tapine to Soro or Butcher to get a full squad though. Can't afford Matto unless going someone cheaper than NAS.
I feel NAS will score 24 this week......but fuck it.

A 20 without getting injured would have been sufficient.

Your obsession with Matt is becoming very tiresome.
If he annoys you that much, just block him, or scroll past.
Simples.

I mean he was on 2 points in 36 minutes but I won't argue because you know better than me

Yeah this is the conclusion I came to as well. There aren't really any r19 guns that most don't already have.
Will consider just grabbing Grant next week if I need to trade Preston to field 17 (in addition to doing Oloapu to K Haas) but certainly a bit risky.

Do you fancy having a down week this week or are you rocking a 13 player gun squad?

You don't want Matt luck with NAS, I have had to trade him out twice already this season.
