Did we celebrate Mulvy becoming the Fifth Fanatic Immortal? I missed a day or two last week.

I thought the 18th man was always released to play the club game if they are playing the weekend before, or am I wrong?

I think that goes back to before they brought in the rule that the 18th man can now come onto the field as a replacement during a game.

Hence, my understanding is that the 18th man stays with the team, while the 19th man can be released to play with his club.

The NRL/ARL make so many rule changes these days that it's hard to keep up. I used to consider myself an expert on the rules (up until about 10 years ago), but I haven't got a clue anymore.

Imagine the Bulldogs are not going to be happy about that. Surely he could've called in someone on bye to be 18th?

Ah well they were going to get pumped by the Sharks and Hynes with a point to prove as it was anyway.

Freddy must really not rate Campbell Graham…

This was the most unbelievable part of it all. Have any of the journalists asked him why he ignored the player who has actually played centre on his bench?

It’s allowed if the concussion occurs in an act of foul play ie on report and sin bin

Haven’t seen Freddy asked and I thinks he doesn’t have an answer. Brandy was asked and said he knew about the rule but they went with Hynes and no further questions were asked weirdly

    So basically because Freddy

If there's an injury substitution as a result of foul play, the 18th man can be activated. Turbo's injury was because of the challenge that Flegler got sin-binned for, so Burton could have been activated. Whether or not Freddie knew this is another issue, it's only his job.

Probs for the better mate anyway Campbell has been having a needle before each game to play he’s carrying a sternum injury would just become more sore and bashed up playing origin. It’s something Campbell has to manage for the rest of the season. He’s a tough bastard.

Club physios attending origin camps to monitor their own players, should be an immediate red flag that things aren't kosher.

I’m hoping (not going to say planning the way my plans are being destroyed) NAS can be my 19th man
