Yeah, not touching them for that reason. Have 7 trades left and figure there's more points to be made using them fromfrom R19 onwards. Will take the short term hit and be happy to not spend Storm games panicking about a rib injury.

Yeah thats my question, is it better to take a sort term hit between now are rd 20. Save trades to bring in those Origin players and have trades left over to sideways trade guns out when they have a bye in the last month. Or do you push on and trade in non keepers to boost numbers and rely on the extra 8 trades to get through the last 7 weeks. Will need to make sure you have depth to cover players that still have a bye.

Going to get Turpin as that means I can keep Preston over this next little period so hopefully that pays off for me. Going to keep Perham instead of trading in Gutho for him, may look at that next week

    Turpin
JFH, Hopgood, NAS (still unsure of who to get here)
    Preston, Loiero
    Hynes, Oloapu
    Manu
    Bula, Ponga, Perham

Hopefully that team is good enough to get me moving up the ladder

I kinda get why you’d keep Perham over Gutho, even with a million trades left. But I don’t understand not getting 13 out.

Which CTR would you choose that doesn’t add a bye player next week? Rules out Ramien as that’s a pain. Penisini perhaps?

I suppose if the criteria is get a keeper in then yeah cool but is Bird, Manu, Lemmy and Penisini overkill?

Yeah grab some Penis. Or Simo since WFB is tricky R19. Or for just R16-18 take a punt on Tago, Best.

In your position it doesn’t have to be a keeper either. Even if they are Manu has a R19 bye, Bird (if fit) R20, Lemmy I think R23.

I guess I don’t understand whne only 3 in the top 1000 have more than 14 trades you’re foregoing points. Like when are you planning to use them to your advantage if not over the byes?

My thinking was more around being able to stay on top of some of the carnage. Byes, injuries and players being rested for Origin. Having trades to jump off players would be useful.

I 100% see your point of taking advantage in these big bye rounds. I had Simmo as an original trade and then thought it might not be the best idea bringing in someone who is in a purple patch as it probably ends when I need him

Yeah, thats my plan, but I have a few more trades up my sleeve so trying to rotate a few guys down that end of my team. Straight swap for Niko so hard to resist.

For me, NAS could stick around. I'm holding quite a few origin players so it could get shaken up pretty quickly.. Otherwise I'd be happy to flick him again.

I'm trying to avoid bringing in guys that are only filling in due to injuries/etc, but obviously Hands is the exception (gamble). At least he is just replacing an existing dead spot (burbo)

Loved how we went from Pies to Banh Mi to Fast Food haha
One last crack before the chat returns to footy

    Ashes predictions?

    I'll go 3-2 England
Cummins most wickets - Root player of the series.

Edit: I'm obsessed with cricket (and always have been) but I only realised it's "Hazlewood" not "Hazelwood" about a year ago. Thought of this when I read "Simpkin" when trading him in today. Fucking kills me when I read people tipping the "Storms" to win lol.

Think it's going to be 3-1 one way or another, with the other rained off. Couldn't tell you which way though, Australia has the better players, but Bazball just fucking works, and it gets the crowd so into it that an away series is a big ask if England get their groove on..

Luki seems to have stolen Robson’s odd round love
