In my not-at-all biased opinion, the Broncos should pool the money we were gunna give Flegs and Herbie to kickstart a quality redemption story with Hunt at 9 being the final puzzle piece to deliver Brisbane the premiership that slipped though his fingers almost a decade ago.

Surprised the Raiders haven't been linked to Hunt yet.

If the Roosters get Hunt, I give up.
It probably is legal, but they probably have an extra 1-2m on every other Sydney team in 3rd party deals, so it’s definitely not fair
TBH dunno why you’d go from one bottom 9 team to another anyway

Fittler truly throwing some hand grenades now, with the news his wingers might swap sides and Robson may start.

So they are swapping to the side they usually play at club football? Pure genius

I’d probably find all this Hunt stuff more palatable if it was player trade like in the US. I can’t remember the last team to turn around their fortunes by having salary cap space, if there ever has been

I could’ve sworn the whole reason Lodge was on the way out was because he was told they couldn’t afford him under the cap.

The fact is the dragons don’t have to do anything that they don’t want to.robelgordo wrote:I’d probably find all this Hunt stuff more palatable if it was player trade like in the US. I can’t remember the last team to turn around their fortunes by having salary cap space, if there ever has been

As long as Fainu can keep his spot this week (even on the bench), I might end up trading Russell early instead.
Even though he is a round 19 number, Parra are going left all night and he's getting left out in the cold (and he was doing great in round 12 and 13 when they actually went right for once), and I don't think I'd miss his 15-20 points. Fainu's BE is low enough that I can keep him for a bench game, just as long as he's in the 17, while Russell's BE of 32 means he will almost certainly lose money.
Plan would be to bring in Simpkin next week for whichever one of these guys I don't sell now, and then ride his cash rises up until Api gets back, then cash him out.
Only thing keeping me off that for now is that right wingers have recently done well against the Phins, with Saab and DWZ scoring doubles in the past two games against the Phins, plus there's also the chance that Kelma Tuilagi pushes Fainu out of the team.
