Would have the versatility they really need. Can play him in any position. Would have been ideal to have on the bench in games 1 and 2.WT Winfield wrote:I guess Bird's playing origin III then.. sigh..

Hosking/S Smith and Loiero/Fifita for me this week. Loiero will probably get 60 this week but I gotta chuck him before he drops to below 500K.

Do you need an EDG, Fifita has a massive BE and could be benched again and drop like a stoneWeiland wrote:Hosking/S Smith and Loiero/Fifita for me this week. Loiero will probably get 60 this week but I gotta chuck him before he drops to below 500K.

Think he means Hosking/Loiero to SSmith/Fifita. I don’t know who in their right mind would be trading Loiero in this weekCamo123 wrote:

Edit: I swear your post said 2 EDGs

That's a really good point. Even someone like Tyronne Peachy.

Bring Aubs out of retirement? He'd be up for it.

Pre knee injury I think Bird was doing ok and he would be a decent bench utility option
Peachey, not so much.
I think everyone is overreacting anyway. NSW had cover. Murray, Yeo, Friz, Martin could all play centre if needed. They instead chose to do something weird with Cook.
I think you pick a utility if one is good enough - e.g. maybe Burton, although I'd probably pass still.
You don't pick a utility at all costs because you need a utility, and try and manufacture a rep player out of nothing e.g. underdone Bird, Walker, Peachey. Historically Walker (again), Peachey (again), Buhrer, others. They need to be good enough.

There’s nothing on Cowboys website so I think that was NRL late mail being NRL late mailWhite Lightning wrote:

I don’t think we’ll know anything until 24hr cut (which is rather annoying as I’m tossing up Robson or Nikorima sell who plays before Cowboys 24hr cut)

You already have Hynes, SJ and Moses. Probably best to wait for Cleary to return if you want to get him back. Having 4 HLFs and then adding Cleary would mean you could be running 3 halves on the benchdanseels1985 wrote:Anyone else trading in Munster?

Thinking its either Grant or Munster in for me this week. Grant provides better team balance for me however if he is going to be rested Munster will be my trade in.danseels1985 wrote:Anyone else trading in Munster?

with only 2 trades left, main advice would not to stress about byes too much, and focus on players who you'd be happy to have until the end of the season (as good chance that's what will happen)
So little bit more priority on job security over shot term role/points
Thanks to all for the feedback.
Think I'll save my last trade (The last hurrah...until Rd.20).
Oloapu > Brimson suits my bye needs so he can come in.
Hosking can sit around, I'll play 15 this round if I have to, and become Papali'i next week (assuming that none of my guns don't get written off this round).
Lil Papa is playing himself into some good form. I'll ride with him until the end.

He's in some doubt. From Telegraph
Queensland star Cameron Munster will be given until Saturday to declare himself well enough to back up for Melbourne against Manly at AAMI Park.
Munster played Origin II in Brisbane with flu-like fevers and has been in bed sick since returning to Melbourne on Thursday morning.
Storm coach Craig Bellamy on Friday morning said that while he expects the Queensland trio, including Harry Grant and Xavier Coates to back up, until Munster says he’s out, he’s in to face the Sea Eagles.
“I’m not a doctor so I don’t really know, I haven’t spoken to him to be honest,” Bellamy said.
“I’m not sure how bad he is or how sick he is, at the end of the day he’s a fit young man. He might recover in 24 hours, I don’t know.
“If he doesn’t we know what we’re going to do if he doesn’t play.”
Jonah Pezet substituted for Munster during Origin camp and is included in Bellamy’s extended squad.

I’m sticking to my plan since the start of the week which is Munster and Brimson in (assuming no late clangers)

Lemmy still on the bench at the 24 hour cut. SOS named at hooker and Harrison Graham onto the bench
