PIcked Russell up last week and if he keeps his current role/minutes he definitely gives you some flexibility to have a look at your 18/19th man while you are covering byes.

Very busy so he's good for around 35-45 most weeks I think with some potential upside.

My quandary this week is Lemmy or Garrick in the 17 (no loop available). Given everyone seems to be keen on sitting Garrick I am really tempted to zag and play him. Convince me otherwise....

Great 18th man if you have upcoming byes

Whoops. I did mean to finish my comment there on I'd prefer Russell over Wong !

    1. Manly have no attack.
    2. They’re playing Penrith.

Just noticed Napa is named to play NRL this week. Right in time for the NRL's recent crack down on high shots.

Perhaps he can 'better' Nathan Brown's score from last week

That's no fun....did just look at the YAFS graph though and it's pretty dire reading

He's been working pretty hard for the Aardvarks, might be time to sit him down so he can be fresh for the finals Mad Monday

So he’d have to basically concede error or 6 again on his first tackle and then get sent off straight away as well

Possibly serious dissent could do the job with a penalty and then marched for another penalty and then sent off Laughing

Error from the kick off followed by holding a player down in a tackle then a high shot resulting in a penalty try seems feasible

Cheers for the replies.  I'd probably do Haas and Russel if I could afford it.

I'm kinda leaning towards the one trade as per Chuckys advice.  Maybe the strategy of holding trades and hope for carnage in round 27 is a decent play.

I guess I'm just not sure I like Penis against the Broncos but could loop him if I keep him.

Riki and Hetherington back for the Broncos this week, Piakura bench. Broncos probably move Capewell to lock again when Piakura comes on. Food for thought re Haas/Carrigan but probably means nothing, those guys play big mins whenever they need them to. It probably just means Carrigan doesn't play any edge now.

I've got DCE & Garrick at 18 & 19, just in case the Panthers keep them quiet tonight

Yeah, me too. To be honest, I wouldn’t mind DCE going real low and just slotting Russell in in his stead… for pod value. Garrick, I’d love to see score well.

Sadly, I think the opposite occurs. DCE probably kicks himself to a 40 or so to make things awkward, whereas I’m thinking sub-20 for Garrick. Just hope Averillo can step up should that be the case. Would be wild to have my whole H2H season riding on Averillo.

Anyone keen on Blake Lawrie? Need a replacement for MoFo to field 17 this week and he looks as good as any.

Averaging 55 without JDB this year with a bump from 48 to 55 mins on average. 63 in 61 minutes last week.

Dragons pack looks diabolical sans JDB, Bird, Su'a, Molo etc. Someone's gotta play big minutes, you'd think he's the only logical option.

Either that or thinking Robson + MoFo -> Lussick + Horse.

You know things are looking dire when Blake Lawrie and Joey Lussick start to look like attractive options.

As a general comment, and not exactly relevant to Lawrie, but I feel like with 4 rounds left you’re better with high upside guns like Munster, Latrell etc

Yeah, I'm fine playing both of them I think. Hopefully playing Penrith both can ha e a lot of junk plays trying to come up with something.
