Trading out Teddy and alreayd have Manu Gagai.
Marzhew is the top averaging guy I can afford.
Is going Watene-Zelezniak v Dragons being too cute?
A rested To'o is the other option im looking at has beeen scoring a try at least in the last 6 games but even then has only really been sitting in the 40-55 zone.
Yes imo. Their ceilings are similar but there's a massive difference in floor (30 for Marzhew, DWZ has a 10 and a 15 with a try).
Get Marzhew and don't overthink it.

17 green dots + Sandon Smith in EMG. Probably going to get less than 5 points from Sean Russell though
The fight goes on. I’m probably going Manu C for the lols though

Re: NRL Fantasy 2023 Part 79 - Refs own goal
Well looks like the run is finally over, playing 16 this week and will be lucky to stay probably top 5 now
Got hit with the Garrick/Teddy combo to go with the others the past couple of weeks and it's all caught up.
Only so much depth you can carry and thought 3 DPP players averaging 40+ on the NPR bench would be enough
Teams are the same with second except Bula/Penisini + 148pts vs Haas/Timoko/Manu
Then there is next week too, so not just numbers but quality of players too
To go with all the injuries copping x2 Lemuelu HIA scores and the eels poor run of form hasn't helped either
Will have to see how this plays out but has been a fun journey
All the best with the final 2 rounds of the season

What about Cleary's past record of averaging 74 this season with only 3 tries?
Can't go past him if you ask me.
Cleary is objectively the best captaincy option, no doubt.
However, if you're an underdog in a H2H final and need to roll the dice, or just don't have much to lose rank-wise, then I do think DCE against the Dogs - most likely with goal kicking - is a reasonable gamble.

That's basically my reasoning, I don't have much to lose in terms of rank (currently 4.1k) and may as well have a swing at it.

Well that was boring. Pretty tame TLT. Murray and Teddy to someone and someone looking like the way to go

I seem to have tripped, somersaulted and fallen upwards into 19 green dots this week.
I've made some good trades in the second half of the season but really feel like I've been riding my luck so hard it's starting to chafe.

Mate, I don't think dropping out of top 5 is a possibility. It's between you and Beavers for the crown. He has trades but you have the points on the board, would rather be in your position.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2023 Part 79 - Refs own goal
I'm feeling pretty lucky to have 18 green dots even if they include H.Graham, Burbo, Averillo and Simonsson.
No Garrick/Teddy but hoping Meaney can keep out Papy for the rest of the regular season. I'm around 1300 so hoping I can make it into the top 1000 by being able to field a full, but somewhat questionable, team.
Best of luck Booze, fingers crossed you can hold on.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2023 Part 79 - Refs own goal
Gagai's season is seriously impressive, averaging 54 at CTR with only 3 tries.
I'd like to get him, especially because he's sure to towel up the Dragons in the final round, but would leave me with zero bank to work with for my final trade so feel the $150k itb from Walsh could prove very valuable.

Just given me an idea...maybe Walsh & Gagai in is the way to go for me. Would be nice to end up with Walsh again after starting with him (although he has no base )
@robelgordo : any trade in of Gagai is based on past performance rather than future matchups....thought I'd save you a post

Rooting for you Booze I reckon you can still do it
As an aside, a mate of mine said to me, 'I listened to a podcast with the Kiwi guy coming first' - didn't have the heart to tell him I had the pleasure of meeting him

Bit of a shitter, but reckon you're still a good chance.
Obvs Manu is a worry at FB, but its no sure thing..
Its basically Bula/Penis vs Manu/Timoko. You can hope that they almost cancel each other out.
Then Haas vs 148 points.. tricky but on averages you'll be ok there.
Tbh, probably comes right down to the wire if nothing unforeseen occurs with HIAs/restings. Timoko in the very last game of the season might decide it all
(i have no idea what any teams below that are doing)
