It's been since 2020 that he didn't score a try when playing the Tigers.

1x trade left for Johnson to someone.
Really drives home how much of a mess this round is when you see it typed out like this
Chances of Talau playing about 1%, Manu probably 10%, Colq 20% I'm guessing.

At least they are playing each other
if Broncos or Storm were playing someone like Souths/Cowboys - who need to win to make the 8 - and still named a reserve grade side, it would not be a good look for the integrity of the NRL
Not that the NRL would necessarily give a shit (after all, they deliberately create similar situations by playing games during the origin period) but it would be annoying to miss the 8 because your competitor was essentially given a free pass in the last week.

Cowboys should feel dudded
They have to play a Panthers team that appears to give a shit while the Roosters get a bye against a bottom 4 team

Not if the Broncos 'D Team' happens to jag a win against the Storm 'C Side'.....mass restings then for Panfers and Cows get a free run against the top team compared to if they played them a week or two ago

Hitting 5th in round 5 will be why he has been able to conserve trades. If your team is performing well, you don't need to use them to play catch up.
Because players who were performing well in round 5 haven't been injured, suspended or experienced a form slump while those not performing well in round 5 are still under performing and have missed half the season.Cookie Monster wrote:mattnz wrote:

How would you know this Matt?

They’d only be limited to the players in TLT reserves wouldn’t they? You’d think they wouldn’t be able to get an exemption to play a player outside 22 man squad because they want to rest someone
mrbrownstone wrote:How often has a player tonned up two weeks in a row? I remember Cleary and Turbo both did it in 2021 - has it ever happened outside of PVL-ball?
Can't help but feel like I'm a week late on D(C)E and he'll put up a quiet 52 now, but nothing to lose I guess.
