DCE recent outings against the Tigers:

    59 (1 try), R8 23
    65 (1 try), R9 22
    119 (2 tries), R19 21
    84 (2 tries), R7 21
    74, R14 20

It's been since 2020 that he didn't score a try when playing the Tigers.

People don’t need to feel sorry for me
Sure I am not super happy with how things have played out in the end but over it and can only laugh. What could have been but it happened to everyone too.
Some copped it worse but it’s out of our control
The year has been fun still, taking it less serious has been refreshing and something to continue with I think.

Started at 30k so still a decent result, just got to be happy with the journey and judge it on that

Still lots to play for so who knows, if twal can score a try then anything is possible

And for context beaver in second place has been there all year so credit where it’s due

Flashback to Schuster having a manual price increase and only scoring above his price 4 times this season

    Robson
    Haas, Horsburgh, AFB
    Fifita, Nikora
    Cleary, DCE
    Ramien, Talau
    Drinkwater, Bula, Manu

    Graham, Hynes, Colquhoun, Johnson

    Grant, Ponga, Gagai, Hopgood

1x trade left for Johnson to someone.
Really drives home how much of a mess this round is when you see it typed out like this Neutral

Chances of Talau playing about 1%, Manu probably 10%, Colq 20% I'm guessing.

I reckon Manu a bigger chance than what we think. I reckon Colq is 0% chance. He fucked his audition to get back in the team big time last week.

I'm a little disappointed Storm/Broncos aren't at full strength though, it would have been a cracking contest.

At least they are playing each other

if Broncos or Storm were playing someone like Souths/Cowboys - who need to win to make the 8 - and still named a reserve grade side, it would not be a good look for the integrity of the NRL

Not that the NRL would necessarily give a shit (after all, they deliberately create similar situations by playing games during the origin period) but it would be annoying to miss the 8 because your competitor was essentially given a free pass in the last week.

    Cowboys should feel dudded

They have to play a Panthers team that appears to give a shit while the Roosters get a bye against a bottom 4 team

Not if the Broncos 'D Team' happens to jag a win against the Storm 'C Side'.....mass restings then for Panfers and Cows get a free run against the top team compared to if they played them a week or two ago

They’d only be limited to the players in TLT reserves wouldn’t they? You’d think they wouldn’t be able to get an exemption to play a player outside 22 man squad because they want to rest someone

Hitting 5th in round 5 will be why he has been able to conserve trades. If your team is performing well, you don't need to use them to play catch up.

Congrats to Booze, whether it's for coming 1st, 2nd or somewhere below that. You've been a beacon for playing the game for "fun", even if behind the scenes you've been crunching numbers like a Numbat.

The fact that you've publicly pushed for just enjoying this free game that adds a lot to our enjoyment of League is a testament to your character.
    I salute you sir.

As for the Bludgers. Finishing with 10 green dots seems like the perfect final bow of a year of just meh bludging.
Bring on League 10 I say.

Because players who were performing well in round 5 haven't been injured, suspended or experienced a form slump while those not performing well in round 5 are still under performing and have missed half the season.

How often has a player tonned up two weeks in a row? I remember Cleary and Turbo both did it in 2021 - has it ever happened outside of PVL-ball?

Can't help but feel like I'm a week late on D(C)E and he'll put up a quiet 52 now, but nothing to lose I guess.

For sure - but if it turns into a nothing game for Panthers, would your risk Cleary Jnr, Edwards, Yeo, Martin if you were Cleary Snr?

Very helpful for a Cows team that would need to win to make the Top 8

I think it was 2020 maybe that McInnes was gunning it for the Dragons still (?) and was the obvious captain choice. DCE I think had a good week so it was the last week of the season and had gone McInnes the last few rounds but switched to DCE last minute. McInnes got I think like 87 and DCE put up a 45. I finished 167 I think but keeping it on McInnes meant I would have been 120 or slightly higher. That sticks in my mind this week about potentially captaining Giraffe Neck.
