Congrats to everyone who stuck it out to the very end. Especially to those that managed to achieve a personal best. What a tough final round!

I ended up in 24th overall, a bit of a flat ending but a great opportunity to take on some end game lessons.

Well done to Booze on an incredible season. I think once the dust settles you should feel pretty proud of what you have achieved (I can't recall a player ever being so dominant for such a long time).
It's a pity that you were undone in the end by the bad fortune of unprecedented carnage, but 2nd out of 225,800 teams is an incredible achievement.

Also a big congrats to all those teams that were constantly up at the pointy end, in particular Green Shist who set the pace for such a big part of the season, and Ando who went hard to the very end. When you find yourself in contention, it's a big call as to whether to go conservative and secure a high rank, or go all-in and shoot for immortality.
I take my hat off to you for going hard and although you probably copped the carnage worse than any, I think you have been an incredible competitor and had an incredible season.

    Well done all!

Must have been one of the best years for NRLFF as a whole? So many up there in the rankings.

Now, where do I hang out on the internet for the next 5 months?

Note when checking the answers (cos I was too dumb to write them down) I've just noticed there are bobbleheads not under the bobblehead category on the NRL website

    Papy, Hynes, Cleary. Maybe others.

Seems classic NRL that they can't even organise their merch store. There is some bobblehead aficionado missing out right now due to this.

The last few days has been a bit crazy (a few nasty direct facebook/discord messages) but will leave it at that.
Avoiding all social media and footy helped me clear things and had a nice day with the family and remember whats important and not let things get derailed.

It has been a fun journey regardless of how it ended and fair credit to Beaver/Fung however it finishes and keeping it interesting

Also a big shout out to all the other fanatics who have been at the pointy end, its been a tough end for you too and it's not all about me
And the others who had big seasons improving, helping out around here or with the stats in general or organising all the fun leagues

I guess the biggest lesson learnt here without taking away from what you put in is to not lose focus of why you play the game or why you are here.

The whole 'fun' thing wasnt about taking away how hard people put in, being condescending or taking away from others.
It was about overall remembering why you play this game and perhaps not being scared about taking a risk or going with a player.
Trusting the gut or rolling the dice because its a free game and there is nothing to lose

Anyways most won't make it to this part, so all the best with the offseason and maybe I can save 8 trades for the final 2 rounds next year haha

    Cheers

    All class Booze.
There's plenty of people out there who could take a leaf out of your book and remember that this is after all just a free game that adds to our enjoyment of "the greatest game of all".

    I salute you sir.

Congrats Booze, and everyone else who had a good season.
It was good to see the forum doing generally well.
I see MS was only just outside the prizes for August too

I snuck into 16th and L1 for next season, 143rd overall
Might have to switch my allegiance to the Dolphins.
Would have easily won the Dolphins league, but was only 4th amongst my fellow titans

Think there's been a couple of final updates - just went from 1491 to 1489. Pretty sure Marzhew gained a point and Murray lost one.

Thanks mate I appreciate that I take my tipping seriously.  I should probs enter a couple more cash leagues for tipping I could probs win stuff I went in one last year and won $300. I’ll be back to try defend my crown again next year.

As for Fantasy I finished with a 688 with 10 players including Kris and an overall rank of 643 finishing 51st in the FOG. I was aiming for top 500 but it wasn’t meant to be not having Drinky was my biggest blunder. Still not a bad year I guess. Well done @Snatchpato your best year yet I think I just saw your team in the FOG League assuming it’s Suaali you can’t be serious.

Also a massive well done to Booze mate you’ve done brilliant this season I was hoping you could hold on but 2nd is a phenomenal achievement one you should be very very proud of. How much does 2nd win by the way? I hope there is some solid money coming your way.

And shout out to MTB and Mulvy who were a fair way back then stormed home, MTB with a top 60 finish after a slow start you just get fantasy they can’t keep ya down for long!

I’ll be back next year for sure hoping to get that top 500 finish! We always say we will save trades for the last round or 2 the next year but will we actually lol!

My lesson learnt is more often than not go the FB over the winger going Alex Johnston over Drinky was a disaster and also pod captains domt work. Hopgood over Cleary earlier this year and Fifita over Cleary or DCE this last round I cost myself around 100 points all up! Mind you I said last year I wouldn’t go POD captains then I did it again this year lol!

    Seb Kris 5 game suspension

Presumably misses the start of next year unless there’s some loophole for suspension to be used if you’re not in the first choice NZ team for the internationals after the GF
