Oh so only bulldogs are innumerate now? That's a bloody strong call for someone from a country where people can only count up to sex. At least the faces are bulldogs are practical with their blood channels that drain the oppositions fluids away from their face. What does yours do? Confuse pigeons?

Nothing like a bit of draw chat in mid November to get the juices flowing. Am I tweaking or do souths actually have a really good draw though? 19 weeks we have a 7 day or more turnaround, with 16 of 24 games in Sydney and never have to travel further than Brisbane for any of our games.

Playing big teams twice is a good thing too, it means more memberships and people through the gates. Hypothetically of course, in reality we sold our soul to play out of the shittest stadium in the country. I was actually cheering when I found out we don’t have a home game in the first month.

Anyway the big draw news is surely the absolute lockout fuckery that is gonna come with fantasy with 4 teams playing a week early

It probably won't happen, but I'd love to see the chaos of those games being treated as a separate game week

I thought the US games are exhibition ? I look at the coming years draw, literally the week before each game. Aside from planning travel if required, it means nothing. The start of thus sentence says it all for how much the draw means.

i think the strength of draw only really applies to sc due to attacking points being so much higher than in nrl fantasy so it pays to stack your ctw's with players who have good match-ups.

Genius. 13 teams on the bye in round 1

Then 2 trades to get yourself sorted for round 2.

Tigers draw is one of the hardest. 1 bye from R2 to R25

Yeah that's what I was saying, all this media strength of schedule analysis ignores that Tigers have been dudded hard. They only get 1 bye when they need it, all other teams get 2-3 useful byes.

Look at the No Worries chart and their bye schedule stands out. Every other team with a bye before Origin, has their 2nd and 3rd byes done by R21. Tigers have their bye R1, then wait until R26 for the 3rd one.

Far more valid complaint for Tigers fans than Souths complaining they have a tough draw because they request to play Roosters twice... while Roosters are judged to have a soft draw because they play Souths twice.

    Also the hooker position conundrum.

Has to be Cleary, especially with Trindall at 6. Trindall steals 5 more points per game than Moylan does in kicking meters at 6.

Fox saying Weekes will be the 6 at Raiders.

Will be base price and has far more talent than he showed at Manly last season.

Could make Fogarty worth a look too. With Wighton out of the 6 jersey in the final round last year, he kicked over 700 meters.

Talk of Tino moving to lock. Des loves an 80 minute lock - Jurbo, Jackson. Wonder if he sees Tino being up to the task?

Really tempted to start with Fifita too. If Des can get him set up in attack, in addition to his great work rate last season, he could be going huge often.

Curran at lock will be impossible to look past, 20 points under-valued.

Cowboys have the best bye schedule to start the season, no byes until round 16.

Hard to find decent buys in their squad though. Drinkwater probably the pick of them as a buy and hold, with both Walsh and Ponga likely ahead of him for Queensland.

May want to take a look at the game 3 origin sides, you might be startled by what you discover

Walsh was suspended and hard to see them not considering the Dally M player of the year for Origin this season. Drinkwater is 3rd in line for fullback.

Look again, I’ll even give you a hint: Drinkwater is a lot closer to playing an origin game than you think, and it has nothing to do with Walsh or Ponga.

Weird that he is NSW given he came through the Storm system.

He is behind Tedesco and Kangaroo Edwards then.
