Whitehead is still NRL quality, but I believe he is in his final year.
Assume Hosking has been brought in as replacement for him/CHN.
They must've also sought an early release from the Panthers, so he probably at least has a shot at starting edge (but will be dropped in R3 after Ricky blames his team for a poor effort)

When he's named on the bench in TLT we won't have to think about it anymore.

I recall the first time that I realised I needed glasses, I had borrowed a work mate's glasses to see what I looked like with them on, and suddenly realised that I needed them.

    Baited.

In a full-strength Raiders FWD pack. I can't see Ricky starting hosking.

    Whitehead Young
    Horse

Surely are the likely options. Noting, that i think Whitehead is only there out of loyalty from coach, not because he is better. Hosking is a like for like swap for whitehead, just younger.

Rd1 he might get named as starting. Everyone will jump on, then benched when Horse suspension is up.

If Hoskings gets an edge, I'm not too sure how they use Whitehead? You could bump horse back to prop with Taps & Papa and maybe Whitehead and Smithies share lock, but there wouldn't many minutes left for Guler, or up and comers like Mariota, Puru, let alone Mooney (who should probably shift clubs)

There's a lot of mouths to feed in that pack, it's a pity he doesn't play hooker...

Knowing my luck with him, I won't jump on and he starts all year

Also the Raiders have brought Smithies so Hosking is probably behind him in the pecking order & he's an edge & played the 3rd test for england v tonga i also see he's 23 & when he was 18 he set a esl record 72 tackles in 1 game & in 2023 esl final he amassed 55 tackles with 0 mt what a machine Smithies is...H. Young, Whitehead, Smithies, Hosking is how i rank them

People getting excited about Hosking, but I'm just forlornly waiting for Morgan Smithies to get a start for $64k cheaper

Ricky will put Rapana fullback, Whitehead 5/8th to make sure there's nobody under 400k in the team.

Strange played one game at Ctr i believe last year. Probably why he is down as a CTR. Might change.

Played right centre and dominated in under 19s Origin last year, scoring three tries and winning man of the match

Also rumored to be an early front runner for centre if you believe such things in January...

He'll probably revert to this in round 2 after we've all loaded up our teams with base priced rookies

Ricky loves a high floor low ceiling experienced player over a young talent with potential. Caveat emptor

I guess that makes the spot Flanagan's. Is he any chance of scoring well next to Hunt?
