I have heard all these things about Butters and I trust your guys judgement bloke seems like an arsehole I never have and I never will give him the time of day. Better off not associating with turds like him.

I think Butters provides a very valuable service for the fantasy football demographic that desperately craves the unique combination of bad fantasy advice and paying for the privilege.

Anyone know where he finished overall last year? He was talking himself up quite a bit towards the end there

lol butters he's a character...at least he providing entertainment

back to fantasy i read the article about palasia (now at titans) arriving at training early to try & secure a starting spot in their pack so he's probably in competition with a few players for the lock position...Randall, Clark & Liu. In 2023 it's a small sample size of starting 3 games at lock where he averaged 40 pts & his b/e is 29. He's pretty cheap at 393k.

On Lomax GK, he dropped from high 70s every season to high 60s last year. Seemed unable to nail any from the sidelines for the first 3/4s of the season

Would still expect him to kick over Flanno, because I’m still not convinced Flanno is in the 13.

I would also note that he still kicked at 68% more than Campbell Graham

This is from memory rather than actual research but I seem to recall Lomax started the season incredibly badly and then improved to end up back where he was in previous seasons (maybe after hook got the hook?)

will hasler ruin tino f. in fantasy...he turned jurbo & graham into ball playing locks which dented their fantasy output because of passing before the line

I was thinking the other way, he loves 80 minute locks, if they have the fitness for it.

i think i read somewhere big tino could be in the front row this year so if hasler likes an 80 min lock then 1 of randall, clark, liu, palasia could be a great buy.
also fifita & fermor probably starting edges & both are big min players where does this leave k. haas & they probably won't have an edge on the bench unless he plays in middle rotation but this is well covered.

Not sure there's any reason to think he'll import the same template from a different team with a different roster from years ago. Things move on.

Early bye a problem for starting with a premium GC player anyway (and if a cheaper player starts boom then you have a free week to work out a way to get them in if necessary).

Yeah also from memory but his kicking definitely improved at the back end. Seemed like a technical issue early on, but could also have been a Hook-related confidence component to it. But for at least half the season he was basically a guaranteed miss from anywhere near the sidelines.

At his best I think he’s a borderline top 5 goalkicker

One thing I like about Lomax is he kicks it high. I reckon he gets a handful of goals each year that are higher than the posts and nobody has any idea whether it’s gone through or not hahaha

Tino has started slow the last 3 seasons and peaked during/after Origin

That’s 10-15 years ago coaching, Hasler was the master of it but feel it doesn’t work in 2024 and he will get found out fast if he goes that way. See the recent coaching of the Dragons with JdB and Hook and how bad the attack was.

Move has been back to smaller ball playing locks playing to the line rather than those big fellas stopping at the line. Also not sure Tino has the same skill set as Jurbo and Graham anyway, they are pretty unique big men

    Don't be so sure

Dragons had R1 bye last season and there were some people that carried a Jack Bird or Sloan into R2. Might be a Tiger or 2 worth similar treatment.

Yeah I took Sloan - was good for looping at least.
