Young is apparently not travelling to Vegas with his neck injury, and may require surgery.

Manu has a child due, so may also not travel.

After getting data on Kini, I've spent the last couple of days collating last years NSW Cup data into a spreadsheet

Available here for those that want it
    https://www.mediafire.com/file/7fn1wogu76g7uvu/2023+NSWRL+stats.xlsm/file

    Some highlights
Highest averaging player was Jayden Sullivan, averaged 83 fantasy points (from 2 games)

The top players who actually played games were Liam Henry, Siua Wong and Elie El-Zakhem (now at Castleford)

    Anyway, enjoy
I did a lot of it manually, so may or may not to a QRL one

On a stats note, was going to look at ESL stats for Smithies/Pearce-Paul

But they no longer appear in the match centre for ESL matches. I assume because they are no longer Super League players.
Don't know if this is due to pettiness, or just poor IT coding, but its pretty poor either way

Kia Ora. Been in Fantasy recovery for the past few seasons but as they say, once an addict always an addict and I'm back on the pipe. My wife said "you aren't going to get too serious about it this time I hope" and I said "nah not this time". Lies. Good to be back and love the insights!

It's pretty amateur hour, but if you go here and drop down Full Stats 2023 and sort by tackles (TK) you can see Smithies stats. (It lists the top twenty in every category. Looks like KPP didn't make the list in any in 2023, but you can get his 2022 stats when you sort by offloads in that year on the dropdown. What it doesn't do as far as I can see is tell you how many games they played, you'd have to triangulate that from another source)

    https://www.superleague.co.uk/stats/player-stats

*also, be aware that MT means marker tackles and MI means missed tackles.

Seeing a game by game breakdown is always more helpful though

Totals aren't great if a couple of games he played < 20 minutes but mostly played the full 80.

I have no inside knowledge, so will provide reference to people who do

If you want to bet on top pointscorer for the year, Sportsbet offers odds of $15 for Meaney, but $23 for Papenhuyzen.

That's actually pretty close though, no other team has 2 entries so high, which suggests they are hedging their bets a little.
Bulldogs with Crichton $51 and Burton $81 are the other team with 2 entries

You can bet on Sam Walker for $26. Suaalii has no odds listed

That would be awesome to have that available, the way they only show some players on those sites is so annoying

The weird thing is that Smithies and KPP both appear on the team lists via the Super League website; they just disappear once you click player stats. Smithies missed one regular season game so played 26 games for the regular season. As Milchy says though - without a minutes breakdown, there’s not much to analyse. Think Smithies had about a 42 average from my calculations, nothing to write home about.

With all this talk about Koroisau and playing 80, is there any indication from Benji or the tigers that it is likely? or is this just hopium from fantasy biases?

Cheers, I was trying to decide if I wanted him in draft. I'll take the punt.

Liam Henry is such a MattNZ player I'm surprised there hasn't been more talk of him

Is there anywhere to get stats from the trial games that isn't in the super expensive SC package.

    Thanks.
