Don't think this is a terrible idea. Will be annoying if Cleary starts with a ton and you're 30 points behind field, but that's a fairly slim chance too in R1 vs Storm.

I mean, all things equal you obviously captain Cleary over Haas but in split round, slim chance of bearable downside vs very, very slim chance of horrible outcome.

*Edit* Cleary's last two round ones have been 61 and 44. We'll ignore the 96 from the year before that as PVL ball aberration

Flegler will be the new Haas. The great white hope.

New team. Leader of the pack. Offloads galore. 55 minutes of carnage = 77 points avge.

Add in old mate's ACL and its a given.

Honestly I see Fleg being 55 average but 77 I'd take cheer

How many teams are going to panic and do last minute switches and lockout hits a few mins early so they can't start with the first 4 teams since there team wasn't completed. Well that's how I think it works.

Every time I switch a player and get that warning sign that my team is invalid, i think I'm going to fall in to this trap

Anyone got insight on Gagai for the Rabbits? Is he likely to play more than a week? Or is Munroe likely to take the spot in round 2?

Prediction that will probably get a fair amount of scorn but...

Lachlan Ilias could prove himself this season and average over 50 and be a decent pick up to start the year priced at 38. Job security and his KM with an increase in TA could be a real possibility. If the Rabbitohs have a strong season a lot of that depends on Ilias going to that next level and I think he knows that and will perform.

I'm not sold on him as a top tier player but I'm not dismissing him getting there either and this could be the year he turns the corner.

If we're punting on Hutchinson as a partner for Cleary Ilias could be a better shout for 117k more

I am amazed that we haven't had any shenanigans in the news yet. I guess it is because no one knows who they are in Las Vegas, so aren't on peoples phone cameras all the time, not that they aren't being naughty.

Most of the players took WAGS and kids with them. That should have stopped some of the drama

My biggest worry would have been Rabbitohs players finding out how close they were to Tijuana. Insane place for a young guy with a bunch of cash

I thought it was a bit overrated. Since we can drink and gamble basically anywhere in Australia it doesn't really have the same wow factor. Have only been once though

I'd probably be too wary of being jumped/mugged or whatever if veering too far away from the Strip.

I've only been to Europe, a few months in Amsterdam and a few days in Paris, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Inverness. A couple of stopovers in Guangzhou and Beijing were enough of China for me. Don't fly China Southern Airlines people. Cheap for a reason.

The closest I felt to getting mugged in Vegas was walking between main strip and the pawn shop where they film Pawn Stars. Few young lads hanging around on bikes looked up to no good and circled round a few times. Have heard very good things about Freemont though

I was only there 3-4 days for a wedding before we flew onto a real place (New York). Went to Fremont one night, was probably our most fun casino experience. Everything is cheaper to attract people off the strip, including the tables. Feels a lot less touristy, more normal.

Mandatory cirque du Soleil show was good. And outlet shopping at the end of the strip. Otherwise it’s mainly just a lot of walking. And drinking while walking. I know everyone knows the casinos are big but you don’t realise how big and how far apart until you’re there.

People posting their heights is peak internet forum involving a bunch of blokes during a quiet period. Automatically deducting 1-2 inches off everyone posting 6ft plus used to be the standard, especially if they are American as they love pretending to be taller.

The Sydney meetup photo made me look 2 metres, so we all know the camera can lie!
