TU: Koroisau (loop chan and salmon) + Fog + 100k
TD: Luki + Moses (no hooker cover for cheese, wait for dust to settle) + 38k

I read a couple of weeks ago that Rudolf was going to have a bench role this year. No idea how much truth there is to that, but i guess he is on the bench this week.

Anyway it did give me a bit of interest in Roycie, but again, so many forwards, he could easily play ~30 mins. Smells of a guy who will slow burn though.

80 min hook and two 80 min edges, with a four forward bench. Very crowded. I don't think he's a bad pick. I'm going Tohu though.

70-80 mins for Tohu you think with that bench your thinking?

I tend to agree with Matt on Tohu, I think he will play a good handful of 80 min games, not necessarily every week. Around 70 ish average. Think he's just a set and forget spot since he has no early byes. Until he bangs his knee or something, of course.

Saw an interview on a podcast earlier this year (January?) where he said the strapping is for 'peace of mind/just something he does now, he doesnt really need it, and the body is in real good shape. Good enough for me.

For me it comes down to him and 260K for next week or run Hoppo.  Some decent upside to Elliot.

Elliott or Cotter for me. Think both will score around the same amount of points so will probably be following the pack

Good grief, look at that missed tackle count, that's almost 8 Missed tackles per game

    I think I'm passing

Edit: Like Chewie, I can't read.

MT = Marker Tackles not Missed Very Happy

Interviews like that are a bit like training the house down.

What is Tohu going to say otherwise?
"Actually my knee is pretty stuffed, and every tackle I worry its about to explode"

I have $200k in my bank at the moment, and looking at upgrade to someone like Fog or Smithies. Tohu in is one potential use of cash

edit: I'm actually just shy of Smithies to Tohu in one move, so would have to be part of a wider re-jig to bring him in

I'd just like to say that I explicitly cut and paste the stats key into the image for Smithies stats, just so that people could read what MT stood for

Guess it wasn't enough, so I'll re-add with a helpful red circle

Why would you start with Galvin if you think he'll do nothing for a few weeks, before moving on to a low minute bench role? If that does eventuate he'll probably just lower his price well under minimum and its going to take ages before you see any cash from him
It’s the last place in the team, there really isn’t much other options at his price, he’s dirt cheap, and he’ll be in my team sooner rather than later. May as well take a punt he gets picked next week. 20/21 ain’t bad. He’s also my loop for Burbo this week.

Salmon and SHughes MID cover doesn’t really seem sufficient though, especially as not really certain on Hughes v Cotric for last spot

I did like Grant, but having both Papy and Chan would make R4 tough with Grant

Might have to hope he's quiet to start the year and get him later.

Exactly, that early bye with three of my starters was looking terrible so I went Grant to Hopgood!

Is my rough maths wrong or if stats linked divided by 31 games gives Smithies around 36pts avg?

I was pleasantly surprised by the Hosking TLT news, one of my 2023 favourite players, straight into the team (at least while Whitehead is sidelined)

Can't compare SL and NRL. Bateman had similar stats.

Also, would you happen to know if the marker tackles are included in the tackles total?

All this math talk and stats and data is getting me nervous on Smithies.
Let's play the thumbs up / thumbs down game.

    TU > Smithies
    TD > Luki (+$20k ITB)

Will be playing Smithies as an Edge.

    Cheers.

In my head all Canberra locks will score like Fensom, so Smithies isn’t even a question for me.

Considering making an alt stacked with all the potentially fantasy relevant Raiders, just to make Raiders games extra fun to watch.
