It's more hunch than stats. He looks like a real footy player and could be be the alpha prop in no time. His style reminds me of a young A Fifita. There's no risk at that price imo.

The Dogs are going to need him out there as much as possible in my opinion. I could be wrong though.

    Anyone else taking the punt?

Lussick on the bench made me move egan out.

Payton interview on team/bench selections (nrl.com) - slightly paraphrased but not much

'We've got Jeremiah and Helium in the 2nd row and Kulikefu (Finefeuiaki) to fill in if anything happens there. He added some spark to us off the bench numerous times last year'

'I've told Tommy (Mikaele) he was very unlucky to miss out and he needs to be ready as he is next cab off the rank. Opportunities can come quickly in this game'

Fair enough. He looked in hot form in the trials and I'm a Wahs die hard so could be a bit of fun. Will see where I land after some more mulling over.

What was Galvin doing in trials? I see him in lot of Tiger forum predicted teams at 14. In game as HLF and comments are he's small. He's not going to play bench hooker is he? Thinking in terms of getting Api this week

Galvin is huge for a HB. 6'2 and 93kgs. Was dominant in the trials.

Someone in Tigers forum said Benji played him in 4 different positions in trial. That suggests he might get bench spot

Russell. He just looked good in the trials. But honestly, who TF knows.

I was debating the same last night. 2 of Elliott/Smithies/Cotter/Luki (and Hosking)

Woke up with Smithies and Rapana in my team.

Slim pickings - of those that haven't played, Berry.

The lack of cheap options is why I have gunned up.

Sure looks on paper like Hughes only gets 15-20mins like last season, at least in rd1. But mins could grow quickly (hopefully). I'll probably stick with him just because my only alternative is Flanagan for $100k more.

He probably will get a bench spot. At first. He played 5/8 in the trials. He's been a 5/8 through HM's and juniors at Wenty plus winning the Schoolboys champs last year with Westfields high.  He had little stint at centre to accommodate the other triallists. Didn't play "4 positions". Don't believe everything on club forums. They also said he was small.

I should rephrase the 'he was dominant" to "he was the dominant half at times". I watched the trials and video saved them.

I can tell you one thing for sure though. He won't play hooker. Back row at some point maybe. Centre maybe. But Benji has him there as a 5/8th.

This is exactly what I’m doing. Starting with Cleary / Moses. Post Sharks bye is Panthers bye so Cleary becomes Hynes. When Cleary returns Moses becomes Cleary. This leaves me with Cleary and Hynes until RD 13 at least. What could possibly go wrong!

Shared previously - but the trindall factor is large... Hynes would be only valued at 920k based on his games with Trindall. These are quite significant overs

the words "Finefeuiaki to fill in if anything happens there" sounds like he sees both nanai & luki for big mins & if 1 is injured/looking tired he'll fill in.

Also spoke about McIntyre in terms that sounded like he will be a ball playing lock when he comes on. Not sure what role that leaves Granville with?

    Luki Hutch Salmon Levi
    Strange Hughes Chan Cotric

    $17k

$1k off having Kini instead of Cotric.

Pretty happy with the balance and cover and liking being able to find some likely value in top tier scoring CTRs and WFBs, while having lots of mid range value in HOK, MID, EDG and HLF.

6 Raiders, 4 Bulldogs, 3 injured players already, what could go wrong?

If we had a h2h it would be

    Fogarty - May - T. Turbo - Luki - Hutchison - Levi

    versus

    Koroisau - Boyd - Carty - Schuster - Flanagan - Niu

personally, I think you have gone a little light in your 14-21 but maybe i have too
