I think I may have got my thesis wrong on him.

Was considering trading him out to RFM or Eisnehuth. But may wait a week now.

Goes from starting edge two years ago to literally falling off the face of the earth the next week. Never to be seen again.

I don't think there's anything to suggest he'll be getting big first grade minutes any time soon

If I'm selling anyone it will probably be Ponga as not seeing any go forward from Knights so will just lose more cash and bigger BE next week. Feels like starting with Teddy last season when was warned against and I held Teddy all season

The funny thing with the knights is that it is the same team that was carving up at the end of last season, probably actually improved with the addition of guys like KPP and Cogger.

He has a job to do at Canberra, under Ricky who is a different coach. He will do that job too. He has great potential to be an offloader and will break tackles and score tries. That is his new job, along with tackling.

Some people don't know a footballer from a donkey. Don't listen to them. Smithies is gold, as a said in the pre season.

On another note, I feel sorry for Blake Taaffe. he came through the ranks as a halfback. A good one. Souths fans were screaming for him to get a start in first grade, but he was never getting in the halves, so they found  spot for him at FB because of injuries. He's not a FB. Never will be. He's a halfback and I hope some club picks him up and gives him a shot where he belongs, in the halves.

I also hope that Taaffe ends up at halfback for the Rabbitohs, but probably for different reasons

Quite surprised we haven't heard anything about Egan, even here in NZ there's absolutely nothing. I'm sure we will hear something today with it being TLT though.

One thing we have learned this preseason is not to trust anything Arthur says. 80 minute HOK, big minute Hopgood and a couple of seasons ago it was big minute Paulo.

Everyone will forget this by the start of next season....I'm not watching any more Brad Arthur press conferences, he is definitely sending subliminal messages which encourage you not to employ a grain of salt when analysing his pre season blurb

tbf we knew arthur was full of shit before this pre-season.

it was always going to be one of the other with lussick or hopgood. i leant hopgood for big mins but its looking like it will be lussick to end up in the 80 role.

was never going to be both.

Tbf Turbo isn't that expensive by gun WFB standards, not like I'm paying $780k for Trell or anything like that. That said, obviously there is risk with him, but we've seen what he's capable of doing.

Not sure if this has occured to you @MS but, given you are a learned rugby League sage held in high esteem by the forum, maybe you could outline how most premium WFB prices will fluctuate by a couple of hundred grand over the course of a season? Very Happy
