The Dragons have announced centre Zac Lomax will not stay at the club beyond the 2024 season.

St George Illawarra have reached an agreement with Lomax and his management for his departure from the club at the conclusion of the current season.

A club statement has said while Lomax will fulfill his contractual obligations with the Dragons for the 2024 season, his contracted years for 2025 and 2026 will be terminated with no financial contribution to be made by the club in these years.


The club will only consider a release this year if a player of considerable standing is offered in return which coach Shane Flanagan is comfortable with.

I’m ok with this, wouldn’t want to release this year but ok for next year

Hopefully we use the money wisely and end up winning more in 2025 and 2026 than whatever team he ends up at.

Although Roosters probably just use Manu and Suaalii money to get him

Jackson Hastings is set to return to the NRL after spending the past two games in NSW Cup.

Hastings is expected to partner Jack Cogger in the halves for Newcastle against St George Illawarra on Friday night.

His inclusion will come at the expense of Tyson Gamble

Even after trades this week I’ve got 7 players who average worse than Chan in my 21. When you include Cleary being out. Chan is not only in my 17, he’s one of my best 13

If Blore is the new Storm EDG, I will be looking at him closely this week as a likely buy soon, especially if Munster is back.
