I am thinking of just making the one trade this week

    piakura to nikorima (dpp/hlf/wfb)

Even though he has a be of 48 - he is priced at 32... and averages 38 with Katoa when playing 5/8 ... from week 7 he becomes a wfb who hopefully averages almost 40

I need a HLF until galvin and cleary come back and don't really want to trade out cleary for anyone available this week... thinking cleary to hynes next week and gamble that hynes does not play origin - gives me 17 green dots this week

    thoughts

you can check out my current team in my tracker if that helps

Morrin suspended for 2 weeks and Preston hairline fracture in his jaw with various reports on timeframe, I think 6-8 weeks.. but at least a few.

Does everyone think Talagi is a good pick up? Or does Asi in the 19 jersey make us nervous?

KPP or Curren. Both juicy, but can have only 1.

In 2 games as starting prop, Knight has had 28 and 14 minutes, so who knows, but Curran EDG helps a lot, along with Morrin out.

Time for Hughes to show how fit he is.

Have an upvote. Good for Shoes hopefully. Briefly thought about Curran, but upcoming bye with Kiraz, Salmon and Shoes. Round one Mulvy didn't care. Current Mulvy can't get rid of duds fast enough.

Yeah 52 BE isn't crazy. Wish I'd taken the punt on Guth last week with 55. Not sure what I was expecting. A 10k discount?

I guess I'll chuck Angus on the list with Piakura, Nikora and Blore as I look to shore up my edge.

You can let Smithies know he's survived the cut in the Winnie's Blues this week too, so should put his mind at ease for now.

Blore is the other one  I’m looking at. Can afford either, Angus just gives that extra wiggle room for future trades (Hynes next week).

I think Smithies is an easy hold this week with Mariota named on an edge. I need to start culling my Raiders anyway so one of Rapana/Smithies will be gone as well as Levi once he has maxed out.

Angus could be even cheaper next week...

Sitili's BE is only 27 - could be worth waiting to see how the minute play out. i could see Sitili coming on and still playing 40/50 minutes and just making bank

Hands would appear to be the most likely to take his position from the current squad. But I think he's OK for job security in the short term at least. Biggest issue is he's 3rd choice playmaker behind Dylan brown and Gutho so sometimes he may struggle for point scoring opportunities

Agree, I wouldnt be too keen to bring in Blaze. I brought him in last week, thought it was then or never. Happy I did, but I don't think he's a must have cow. He'll still make some money, so if you need a cow or centre fair enough, but probable coin goat at this stage.

He would be lucky to get to 20 points playing 40 minutes, but I would think he will have that 20-25 minute role that Robbo tends to use. Feel like it's a pretty low percentage bet to keep him.

Think I’m going to take a leaf out of Rhino’s book and merge my 4 trades together:

    Ins: Angus, JCampbell, Talagi, Hynes
Outs: Brbo, Taylan, Hutch, Rapana (could be Smithies but still think he averages mid 40’s)

Have the bank to cover all 4 but BE’s should mean JC Talagi this week and then gives me a week to assess Angus’ role. I know folk say match ups don’t mean anything but Angus vs. Dogs and JC vs. Cowboys makes me hesitant.

My preseason plan on saving trades is going well as you can see  Laugh 3

I can't even remember what this week's trades that I "merged" with last week's trades were, tbh. Stuff has happened since then.

You mentioned it in your tracker.

Thinking of it as 4 trades just makes me feel better about it.

Taylan > Talagi is pretty knee jerk but the bigger picture is it gives me Hynes next week.

Easily KPP in my books. Better job security, better team, better chance of being a cut priced keeper, cheaper too! By $1k
