I really want Brown but I am missing a captain since selling Cleary and I just don’t trust the C on Brown. It’s strange to have to pass on a trade which looks perfect for my team.

Last year as starting prop, averaged 51 in 64 minutes.

This year with Tino gone, averaging just 32 in 48 minutes.

Will be watching him closely to see if that changes at some point.

In 2020 before the arrival of Tino, was averaging 55 in 60 minutes. Wouldn't surprise me to see him get back to that.

Another one I penciled onto my watch list this weekend, he didn't get the score but he got the uptick in minutes. Pretty high BE this week but I am looking at Lussick > MoFo in the next few weeks once Cook's bye is out of the way.

Yesterday you told me I would need a bigger couch trading Cleary, now you're agreeing with the strategy.

No, he has already traded Cleary out it seems, which I disagree with in most situations (not all). The question now is do you waste more trades getting him back in again.

I've already got KPP and most of the usual suspects. Can someone talk me out of Egan or Host? Bold options I know, but noone is jumping out at me.

I get the need for reliable C player specifically Cleary and Hynes but they have 50 50 51 58 in 4 of 7 games and Hynes got very late junk points last game. Maybe likes of Dylbro are bye friendly alternatives in cash squeezed season. Maybe really is year of the mid rangers

No wonder S Fainu got so many minutes. Apparently Benji only used 15 players. Is this correct?

Feeling really ick about this week. One trade so far in Sitili to KPP, and $636k in the bank burning a hole in my pocket. Lots of options to dump with a second trade - Lussick, Salmon, Smithies, Chan, but nobody I feel I need to tear my team apart to get. I need a solid captaincy option, looks like I'll either run Hopgood or AFB again this week, and both had drops in minutes last week so I think I'm set on bringing in Nicho next week, hoping for no origin, and pick Cleary up again late in the season.

Staying my hand and saving the second trade this week means I should definitely be able to bring him in without issue, but I hate the feeling of so much bank sitting there doing nothing. Maybe I should've held Cleary, but I brought in Talagi for some cash gen and I'm okay with that for now.

Any advice from the old heads here would be much appreciated though, I just have a bad vibe about my team and trade prospects this week.

Who's my best captaincy option between Fogarty, Murray, Hopgood and Temay.

Thats the order I have them in this week, but interested on everyone else's opinion.

my tv broke wrote:The problem with getting gutho is then you have gutho in your team

I know I’m extraordinarily late to this, just catching up on the thread, but last week I had a family member tell me they put a team together for the first time this year, so I’ve been offering them little tips here and there about who the popular and valuable players are, when I mentioned Gutho was a popular buy this week, they said and I quote “if there was some reason where I had no other choice but to put Gutherson in my team, I would quit playing instead”

When it comes to captains remember the 4 games from Fri to Sunday will be in potential torrential rain.

Which kind of captain does that bode well for?

Often low scoring games in general, lots of knock ons, time spent without the ball in play.

Most of the captaincy options seem to be in those games though.

The best captain option will be the one who scores the most points.
