Yeah, but to be fair there were a few years when QLD halves selection was:

"Shit, injuries. Righto give Alfie a call!"

"Mate, we can't. He's ancient and dim and broke and doesn't want to".

    "Bugger. Umm. Sean Berrigan then?"

"Christ that's not great but yeah, he's fit. Still need a 5/8th but."

"What, is Crocker injured? Fine, Flannery can do it."

"No, they're fine. Just not halves. Cmon Wayne mate, you know you gotta"

    "No"

"Yeah, it's a bit shit, but tell Ben to pull out of your daughter and pull on some boots".

    Anyone still own Cook?

Was going to be easy if named on bench but now he's starting again. Probably still a trade, hard to see Pete dropping off the bench any time soon if JD sticks around.

Cook to Sorensen and Hutch to Bateman with $0 left is pretty tasty but Bateman is pretty unnecessary for my team.

Should also probably try to find a way to dump Talagi sooner rather than later but none of the cows mentioned seem viable right at this moment.

Rhino has semi-spooked me on Bateman but think im still with Ando

I absolutely hated choosing iPap over him last year. He was definitely playing some HYBRID MID/EDG role for about a month and ruining my fantasy life. I mean I still came 82nd, so a long way off ruined, but it was my least favourite decision last year and it’s not even close. And I picked Ben Hint for the lolz last round when I had 13 and 1 trade. Still liked it more than not owning Bateman!

So first trade probablyFog to Blore then…

    Then Ponga to Walsh

Then Campbell to can literally afford anyone… Cleary, Yeo over Haas maybe, Hughes, Harris, D Brown, Teddy, Sorensen, any one of the shittos… all are in play

Ha yeah same with iPap over Bateman and I just remember every Tigers game it seemed like Bateman was making 5 tackles per set and throwing hail mary offloads all over the show.

After watching a bye planning video if you have KPP, Angus and Blore/Bateman you’ll have perfect coverage of the byes (with Blore down 1 EDG for R19)

Can’t wait to see which ones misses bus or turns to shit

Don't be spooked by me. I'm still veering to picking up Bateman but seeing shadows. My choice is him or Blore, just trying to find a tie-breaker.

Instead of Haas would you save the money and get Bateman?

Bateman, KPP, Angus, Piakura feels like overkill especially with no DPP

Blore wasn't named first 2 rounds and only has 9 80min games in his career. Chan is on the bench so could steal some minutes? Blore potentially blocks future Storm pick ups if you already have Papy, Grant and Chan.

Bateman plays the extra game in RD19.

Like Rob not having Bateman for that period last year really was my biggest mistake and I captained Dave Fifita RD27 which cost me a top 50 finish Laugh 3

Reminds me of last year when Preston, Hosking and Katoa was too many edges for the bye period (I think R16) and I somehow ended up with none of them on that week.

Oh yeah I also captained Fifita as well as last trade Hunt lol!

I think I was pretty confident on
    (A) not winning a prize
    (B) not dropping out of L1 placings

But yeah I did work out later if I’d captained Cleary/Hynes/DCE I would’ve came 69th nice. Maybe with someone instead of Hunt… I still don’t make top 50 but finish a few places higher?

    Anyway going Bateman it’s settled

Hynes is the obvious one, but I already have him.
Cleary and Haas are next in line, both returning from injury with very little info on Haas’s injury, and origin is just around the corner.
Hopgood, isn’t scoring great in a poor team.
    SJ, playing injured.
Fifita, poor team and often starting on the bench.
Murray, limited minutes in a poor team.
Most of the other options have origin around the corner.

Yeah I kinda like AFB if spending up, but Harris much the same, I'm just tired of trading him out every year. Otherwise some fallen guns/potential rising ones like Batman, Zorro (Sorenson), Nikora and Blore. Plath another discussed, but too awkward for Rd 14 for me.

Chan played exclusively at middle last week and looked very good there, I don't see him going to Blore's edge unless Blore's gassed (in which case you'd rather he goes off than stay on and miss tackles)

I'm probably trading out Flanno. Had him out last week but sold Chan instead. Near 50k loss there. Hoping to find out about Capewell/Laban tomo but could be only 1 week start so wouldn't be jumping into. Weekes looks like a spud. 3x 80 mins games at 5/8 zero km 25 top score

Is Jarome Hughes an option to partner Cleary as a second half?

    Or trap material?

If Strange could just become Fogarty 2.0 in regards to kick metres that would be lovely
