    1. WEEKES - byes not the best but was already knocking on Strange’s door before losing their dominant half and fielding an 18yo at fullback. Nice DPP and job security should be ok

    2. PIAKURA - bit more expensive if you’re fundraising or cashing out but looks like the edge starting spot is his whenever fit, so if fit, probably needs to be fit (in)

    3. ATKINSON - Trindall was not overly impressive which should give him a decent shot at the role no matter how his drug test comes back. Gets a really soft start and introduction to the role against the now worst halves combo in the league.

    4. ARMSTRONG - News of Sharpe seemingly having this role in 1-2 weeks is not TOO off-putting given he still gets first crack at the role. The fact this is a long term job opportunity and the Knights have Dolphins, Warriors, Titans and Tigers before their bye appeals as a punt

    5. SASAGI - don’t ever really trust this sort of “forward” for any sort of job security, and 39pts in his 80min when it included a try is not great, BUT - CTR/HLF on paper and named to start? He’s an odd one like Plath in the DPP stakes for much less of an outlay.

    Others (with weak job security)

    - Gray: a lot has been said about his size but he’s a lively likely type. Just can’t see them moving Latrell to centres to make room for him
    - Sanders: probably doesn’t have to do much to keep the job. Eels have been poor in this position and with Talagi failing miserably, he could be in with a longer shot at just this week
    - Alaimalo: Have been waiting for this rugby convert to get his shot. Was a pre season punt until not named in R2 teams, for a team that has some previous on getting wingers to go large (Nofu vibing)
    - Gagai: first start since round 1. His score of 28 included a try so doesn’t excite

[Edit] LABAN - all awaiting a Capewell update. He hasn’t produced off the bench so comes down to job security

    I'm leaning towards option 1.
Weekes playing 5/8 should at least give him a reasonable base with 20 odd tackles and 80 run meters. Good job security. DPP is nice too.
Plays the last game of the round, so I can easily reverse if I change my mind

As the sole Euan Aitken early adopter on the forum I've just noticed Lemuelu skulking around in jersey 22.

Think Aitken has done enough to keep his spot though tbh.

Fogarty, Flanagan, Elliot > Haas, Piakura, Walsh

If my only Raider was Strange I reckon I'd just grab Weekes, he'll score pretty shit but he's priced at 18, he can make the cash.

Alas, I have Kris and Chevy as well and while I'll probably turf Chevy before the rd10 bye I'll be sticking with Kris.

    Now do Nikora.

I prefer Nikora to Blore I think mate, but most have Hynes and Iro so when you start having 3 from 1 team you're just running that risk, especially those that have Eels too for the RD20 Bye.

Any 3 of them could go on a run and be the outstanding choice, it's likely the all average near enough the same. I back Bateman with the better Byes, I think the higher upside and also the potential of getting DPP.

Raiders are a bit cooked without fog arent they? Three rookies and levi for a spine.. yikes.

At least strange will probably dominate the kicking.

Im thinking itll be much like the trails with strange at 'halfback' on the right and weekes sitting out on the left not doing much

Haha yeah, I did realise, but not immediately Laughing

Hughes is priced 5 points more than DBrown and not sure he's that much better, unless he continues the high 50s average. Even with Moses, Brown averages 50+, while Hughes has been sub 50 a few seasons. Getting Brown before the bye isn't ideal, but just as a comparison, I think Hughes might be at his peak.

Has Weekes kicked the ball in reserves? Is it the same as kicking in the NRL or is a different technique needed.

Has only kicked the ball maybe twice according to footystats

Looks pretty dire, but at least they have a big forward pack to hide behind
