Thought Manu was going to be but at CTR may be a step too far. Brown or Mahoney safest options, King?

Manu or Teddy upside plays. Weekes might have one of the best floors

DBrown was my default or Terrell for a gamble. I captained Manu this time last year, despite never captaining WFBs and Teddy one of the few you could break the rule for too. Might go for him as the wildcard. Don't think I could stomach captaining Weekes, gotta have a BHunt-esque game at some point surely.

He almost had it this weekend until his late try. Him losing goal kicking to Rapana is annoying.

Looking at my squad I think the best option for me is Aitken lol

The two best options in my team are Weekes and Aitken. The left field option is our Lord and Saviour, Jacob Kiraz.

Interesting, Nice that he didn't make it, but certainly won't have him as a POD coming up. Stefano missing out was also nice.

I more mean, when he started on the bench you weren’t enjoying it until he scored well.

It 100% worked out for you in the end but I remember a few posts with your displeasure about the situation

In fairness you're probably right the week I got him in for $800k and he was switched to the bench I probably moaned before the 58 then a couple of weeks of 50s and people talking about getting him on a discount but waited.  Funny thing is it's ingrained in my memory like fantasy does to you I remember years ago selling him after many low par scores getting moved to centre and going to a party and coming back checking scores and he got 90 or something and killing it after... This season with him and others I've just thought just hold after running out of trades early last season. Anyway TL:DR

P.S. I've done that with many players except bloody Liddle after the 12pts. Could've saved a trade this week

Yeah true, I tuned in late just in time to see Weekes score and Teddy put Angus over.

Was thinking Aitken could be popular among those I don't have. Coming off a season high, but a floor of high 40s seems pretty safe. Cam Smith safe.

Queensland coach Billy Slater has dropped a bombshell by axing incumbent back-rower David Fifita despite his superb display against the Broncos on Sunday.
Slater has opted Jeremiah Nanai and Jaydn Su’A in the starting back-row, while Harry Grant, J’maine Hopgood, Mo Fotuaika and Selwyn Cobbo have won bench spots, leaving Fifita out in the cold.  Dolphins hitman Felise Kaufusi has earned an Origin squad recall after missing last year’s entire series (18th man) Broncos young gun Brendan Piakura and Ezra Mam will go into Camp Maroon as 19th and 20th men.

Billy really trying hard for underdog status, leaving out Fifita for Piakura. Hope QLD win Origin 1 and 2, so Fifita is an easy hold all year.

So who ends up shunted into centre this time for NSW when a back goes down 20min into game 1. Don't think a 4 forward bench is really needed at all, pop Burton on the bench, Hynes hammy cover as well.

Russell and Harper would probs have to miss out I think unless he drops Harper and Sivo, Russell to wing and Talagi centre?

If you don't have Fifita, do you trade him in R14, or wait until 16 in case he makes the game 2 squad?

Game 1 result might make it obvious, but price not likely tor get away from you (any more than his current price at least) by waiting

Angus? Hudson? Agree, feels like an unnecessary risk with JTurbo, Haas, McInnes, Yeo all big minute middles.

I was planning to grab an origin gun that backs up Rd 14 with Yeo leading the race, but probably have to grab Fifita instead, or in addition to if affordable.

Rd 14 targets starting to stack up. Yeo, Fifita, Samuela, Cook, Wighton.. Not sure if Koala might be a cashgrab. Can't overload on Souths with Rd 17's shared bye with Titans (Fifita) and Manly (Garrick for me, Koula for some).

If Fifita misses out I feel for anyone he’s up against so he will be in my team in round 14

I only have Hughes, Russell, and Hopgood from my Round 1 team...

I had Tohu until v recently but traded him out so I could field 17 and beat Rabbit.

Probably a dud move - but let's see how Sorenson goes next week. Russell's 46 probably means that he is finally gonna make some cash over and beyond the 388k he started with cheer They call it the long game
