Hynes has to be a trade out right? Seems like the Blues are pretty much forcing the Sharks to manage his workload through origin to hold his calf together

Yes, though I would probably wait until next week and buy Jahrome Hughes instead of selling this week.

Yeah but if Moses takes over for game 2 and 3 you'd be trading Hynes back in come rd17, that's the annoying unknown part.

Who says they don't just run Nicho and Moses together in that scenario?

I think holding for this week at least makes sense, and hope that things become clearer after game 1. Either get a good idea of the fitness (or lack thereof) of Hynes and maybe we'll know if Moses is fit, and if he'll be selected if fit.

Certainly at this point it seems more likely Hynes will be a better hold then Crichton over origin, although very possible both are better off sold.

Yikes but he seems a different Cotter this season and minutes weren't an issue.

I'll allow him one bedshit before trading..

I am now. Surely he backs up, if not injured. The only origin player I’ll probably sell is Robson. Even then, if I can get JMK in somehow this week I might be able to hold him and pray he backs up in 14. These two will probably be the best combo to run with through origin. I might just risk it and play 1 down in 14. How does Angus to JMK this week and Smithies to Fifi next week sound? So no trades this week or next becomes 3 trades (before any other disasters). What could possibly go wrong?
Oh yeah, I assume Angus is a trade as he misses so many games and will probably come off the bench in 17 and 20?

This is possibly the most bizarre suggestion for a trade we've seen all year.

Leaving me with 12 for Rd. 13 and 16 for R14 (plan to trade in Brailey in R14 to make 17)

    Mahoney
    S.Hughes, King, Plath
    KPP, Aitken (VC)
    Weekes, Strange
    Iro, Talagi
    Garrick, Tedesco, Armstrong

    Cotter, CNK, Galvin, Crichton
    J.Hughes, Carrigan, Fainu, Brbo

What are peoples thoughts? They the right Tradeouts?
Trading JMK is cooked because then you have no HOK and need to trade in 15

The R18 is a bit of outlier as was rested in 74-0 win but leaning towards selling to Max King

Yes, is Dom. I don’t want to do it but I’ll be holding too many Raiders /Roosters /Phins as it is and I really have no captain option this week. Currently I’ll be holding Weekes, Teddy, and three Phins (two if I go Mahoney over JMK and worry about Rd 19 later). Owning Mahoney just doesn’t thrill me.

Yesterday I saw Young was named on the bench for nsw and I thought that was odd, hadn't heard much chat about Dom Young in line for a blues debut..

    realised this morning its hudson

and obvious Dom is nowhere near eligible for the Blues. QLD however...

Will need a hooker, edge and mid to field 13. Brailey was always going to be the hooker, Plath likely the mid, and will wait on TLT for the edge. Looking at Preston, Sorenson, Lem tentatively.

So McInnes, Piakura, Jolliffe to Brailey, Plath, ?, leaving

    Brailey
    Plath Salmon Hughes
    KPP ?
    Brown S Walker
    Iro Strange
    Weekes Kiraz Armstrong

Strange to Koula or Wighton planned for R14.

The annoying thing with Hynes is let’s say NSW win game one…surely he keeps his spot if that’s the case. However, and um, my brain is a bit foggy, but haven’t the Sharks been quite poor in the finals the past couple of years? It almost tells me that Nicho isn’t the big arena player and he could very easily be dropped for games 2 & 3, which I think is a mistake, because how can you expect to win a series if your game 3 team is different to your game 2 team if you didn’t win game 1?

I also just realised I have Hynes and if he plays Origin surely he doesn’t back up. That’s at least 5 out next week before the inevitable injuries.
