Stefano looks like a good option next week. His non selection means he has an escape clause from the Tigers. He should get big minutes, and play like a man looking for a new club. After this week 13 weeks to the next bye.

Klemmer suspended for 3 weeks too, back R17.

If he misses 1 of those 2 I'll take it as a win. If I don't have Hynes to worry about I have 3 missing in R17 and 2 missing in R20.

mattnz wrote:If Yeo plays maybe 40 minutes in Origin and is named to start in R14, I probably trade Crichton or Hynes to him. Gives me an extra 60 points in R14 and is the least likely to be impacted of the top tier guns over the Origin period, if getting low minutes and Cleary being out for Panthers.

He even got 66 points in 69 minutes in R27 last season, instead of being rested.

Never played less than 64 minutes last year, despite playing 80 minutes in Origin for the first 2 games.

Rounds 14, 17 and 20 are all Sunday games for Panthers, so every chance he plays and gets decent minutes.

Very different to an injury prone Hynes who plays R14 Saturday, R17 Friday and R20 bye. Also very likely to be rested in R27.

Crichton has byes in R14 and 23 and in a team where he is much more likely to be rotated out of the team and / or reduced minutes.

This is an idea I have been considering, but probably won’t put too much more thought into it until next round, which by the time that rolls around, I will have completely forgot about this altogether.

    Rd.13 Angus > Nikora (Playing 12)
Rd.14 Hynes > Hughes (Playing 15, will take a hit but worth it to save trades)
    Rd.15 Matto > Fifita (Playing 17)
Rd.16 no trades, can field 13 (trading the inevitable injured players)
Rd.17 no trades 17 warm bodies
Rd.18 no trades 17 warm bodies
    Rd.19 Shoes > Elliot (playing 13)

Best laid plans of mice & men right there. Big shout out to Yafss & MTB, your sites are invaluable.
Now if only the NRL would just give you the contract to make Fantasy actually work.

If Gutho comes back this week does he play FB or Centre? Regardless, this then kicks Russell out of the side? Finally, an excuse to get Russell out of my side! Russell to Mahoney it is then.

I’ve “heard” that Blaize could be keeping the fb spot, which means Gutho at centre. Another thing I’ve heard is Barrett wants to play Lane more in the middle?? If that’s the case, it does make Kelma slightly more intriguing, but I’ll probably just watch and wait this week.

Next week I’m looking at Smithies and Angus to Fifi and Uto. I can do it this week with 1K to spare. The only thing that can prevent this from happening is Smithies not reaching his BE! Surely that won’t happen, right?

Barrett supposedly said somewhere after the game that kelma edge Lane middle would continue

Yeo is probably looking forward to origin to get a rest from panther duties.

Oh Kelma is only $297k, will be hard to ignore if named to start for sure, could just go him over Curran/Preston for a mega bank. Curran/Preston help with r16 too though.
