Yeah, that's a good shout - cheers. Suspect Uto has better JS, but can't deny the love for the try scoring machine that is big Al Twal

    There are several questions

Who will score better for next 8 weeks. Given injuries its likely Twal

Who will score better for the 8 weeks after that? If Bateman + iPap come back it might knock Twal down a bit.

Do you have enough trades to move either of them on if post origin period - and who would you rather have in your team until the end if you were forced to.

There's also a non-zero chance Uto gets picked for origin 2 or 3, whereas Twal definitely won't be there.

Will consider it, but already have 7 players on the bye next week (of which Smithies is one) And he's one of the prime candidates for a trade-out

People may disparage Lussick, but Hands is not someone who demands gametime either.

I'm rolling with him, and may regret it. But for now the obvious narrative is that Hands is the best they've got and will get good game time, and Barrett will pick his team accordingly.

I was initially set on bringing him in at the expense of Grant, as I didn't see much point in having 3 HOK with very little bye friendly crosspver.
I've backtracked now and am prioritising a Teddy trade in while keeping Grant. If Hands goes off and look like a lock, perhaps I look at bringing him in for Talagi next week (~$270k ish).

He's become quite essential to my Rd 16 and 17 bye planning. All comes down to whether you can survive Rd 14 with him or not.

At the moment I’m at Jahrome Hughes and that’s about it

I'm really liking the look of the "should be in origin crew" so targetting Fifita, Teddy, Wighton and Latrell

    What about Kelma?

I will personally be trading Crichton out because it makes sense for my team (and I've saved a few trades) but it's not a no brainer for everyone.

Neither, there must be someone else in your team to trade. And if not just roll with 12.

Only ones I'm wanting to trade are available this week i.e. Cheese, Hughes etc. H2H cash league is playing all rounds and I'm struggling and in need of a win. Possibly will go with the 12 and hope for the best.

Unless he's playing 70 minutes, Hands is not a great scorer. Its possible he'll become a dead spot in your team - not make enough money to sell and not be scoring well enough to play (but still take the field and not useful as loop enabler)

If you think the cash saved is worth it over a more reliable scorer like Mahoney/JMK then go for it.

Disclaimer, I am getting Hands in this week. I want the cash, the score this week, and the hope that he keeps getting enough minutes to be playable, at least for the origin period.
I understand it is not without risk

Why are you so adamant hell be a dud and become a dead spot?

Should have read the rest of the posts first. I still think Lussick might be done, terrible hooker.

As of right now I have 7 players on the bye next week. Smithies therefore is my first out next week (barring of course another massive carnage round this week where I lose 1 or 2 Rd 14 players). I mean, what could possibly go wrong?

Looks like I’m struggling at WFB/CTR in Round 16/19 so will need to remedy that over the next few rounds. I know if I get Teddy he plays Origin 2 and 3

I'm trading him out now with the intention of bringing him back in at a cheaper price after Rd19.
He's been on a mad try scoring run and I'm banking on him being a little tired over the Origin period and his scores dropping slightly. If he averages 55 over that period, he should drop below $800k.
Someone has to get traded out over the byes to make up the numbers on the short weeks. May as well be someone I can bank some coin off.

Ahhh yes. Just had a look at the teams that do and ummmm no thanks.

If I had to pick two, JC and maybe Latrell could work. Maybe Koula if his shoulder has healed up

I'm liking similar, makes a case for avoiding Armstrong now I don't have him, loading up on WFB is a recipe for disaster in the forwards. Wighton might make just as much cash over the next 5 weeks as Armstrong anyway.

Was there news that Koula would remain at FB and Tommy T would return in the centres?

That sounds like the type of hopium that gets dished up on fan/fantasy forums......much like the Gutho to the centres talk, great for fantasy if true but highly unlikely IRL
