Not getting too cute with trades, will field a full 17 even if there are players who should go. Have seen how things can turn to absolute shit very quickly this year.

Think he’s a great move.
Best byes.
Playing in beast mode.
Won when he was finally given big minutes lock role
Now with DPP. Nice final squad #18 (at worst)
Might even see cam play edge when he returns.
Low-ish risk, high reward the best moves you can make.
Lot to like

Re: NRL Fantasy 2024 Part 47 - Origin time
Personally think it's pretty harsh call on Hynes on what was essentially his Origin debut.
IIRC DCE had a big question mark on him in his early Origin career behind Thurston & Cronk.
He had the luxury of coming off the bench in his first 3 games (big Mal didn't even throw him in for a few minutes at Centre).
NSW were up 1-0 when he made his debut at halfback for a Queensland team that had won the previous 8 series. Qld lost that game.
Cronk and Thurston returned for the dead rubber & they destroyed NSW.
Mitchell Moses debuted in a dead rubber with NSW up 2-0; they lost. His second game NSW lost comfortably too. But the third NSW won, so clearly he's a big game player now...
Nathan Cleary won his first two games at Origin (and his first two series), I think we all know Moses & Hynes aren't Nathan Cleary.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2024 Part 47 - Origin time
Unless they did a post-coital announcement, there's every chance they waited a few months to post the news. Pretty sure it's standard to wait until the 12/13th week to tell people because in that time miscarriages are most common. Announcing it to the world in December could very well mean we're on the cusp of a brand new King.Camo123 wrote:

Cheers mate. I like that logic a lot, appreciate the reply.
Will wait and see on Fifi I guess.. with a higher BE may float for a few weeks.. That or score a tonne and barge his way into Origin!

One thing I’ll say for Benny Hornby other than being a lovely fella is that he’s clever and very sensible Ben. The fact he as a new coach came in and played this beast in 13 and he delivered for him, bodes well for the lad.
Like Ben, all of us sitting on the outside saw that this should have been something souths were doing so giddy up that it came off

Assuming you like that big minutes lock role;
- Named lock for R14
- R15 If Murray is back, likely back to edge, but Murray assumedly to Origin means he gets it for R16
- Otherwise likely gets it for R15 and Murray gets it R16
- Edge R18
- Probably gets it again in R19
So if Hornby sticks to that strategy, should play lock at least 3 of their next 5 games you'd think

Re: NRL Fantasy 2024 Part 47 - Origin time
Wh2en people say Koloa is playing beast mode - do they just mean the sample size of 1 game where he scored 2 tries (and played in a role he likely won't have when Murray is fit)
Or is it going back for a month or so where the beastiness didn't transfer into fantasy points?

I think he’s looked dangerous to me everytime he’s out there.
Nearly got him myself as soon as he was named (pre 104pts) and wish I did

Think I've told this story but I worked with one of Ben Hannant's brothers (he was one of about 10). They are Latter Day Saints (or Mormons in the old terminology) and BH had to get permission from the church elders to play footy on Sunday.
His brother gave me a copy of the Book of Mormon, which I read, and clued me up on practices and rituals....the Southpark episode/musical was loosely accurate.
Edit : But yeah they have a lot of kids due to church rules dictating that everything else fun is frowned upon

I think he has a little switch secreted away behind his left ear....someone flicked it on a couple of weeks ago.

Nick meaney, the former knight got moved into the centre's at the storm and filling in at 6 or 1 when paps of munster went down. Maybe they want to try him at centre while best is out? He has been hungrier than the rest of them. Never even heard of Sharpe...
Shoes was probably rested last week for some big mins this week with a new king on the horizon. It was forseen

@my tv broke perhaps they try imulate what they did there at the storm... perhaps even to try keep him at the club long term.

L-Jimmy wrote:Conor Watson was allegedly going to be the 14, with McInness not selected and Yeo starting.
Watson's back in R15, which probably isn't enough to make the team.
Does that mean Burton becomes 14 to cover more positions/play late game lock?
That would mean either Ramien or Latrell coming in
Edit: presuming Murray back, then Young out for him.
On form Martin shouldn't make the team, but selectors love him for some reason.
Watson is the ideal NSW 14, covers all positions.
