Does Haas’s bye become (more of) an issue for H2H? I factored that in

Yeah, Haas bye definitely a factor, also probably why I’m leaning Latrell/Murray too… which is not to say I don’t still want Haas if I can wrangle it at some point… but for right now probably thinking Murray.

You’d have to think at some point Murray goes back to lock with Keaon back to the edge.

Murray is one of the best locks in the comp is he not?

Maybe some sort of hybrid role. He has a faster play the ball and better ball playing so maybe in most (not all) attacking sets he is mid. If they are close to the line Kola can crash over

Just flicked through the Storms injury report, it seems like Papy more than likely to play this week so Faalogo will need to be moved on.

Howarth they are pretty confident on as well. Does Meaney come back in for Anderson or Bradley, he’s pretty versatile?

Meaney should be back one way or another, their goal kicking options look pretty dodgy.

I have so many WFB options but none of them are great.

Might have to sacrifice an EDG to get a better one for the run home (Angus to Ted?)

5 players in the first game Thursday. Plenty of time to panic once they all go sub 50

Bit shit both Cook and Hynes in those first games.. Was going to see how hands and Muliatalo went. If no bueno then JMK to either Cook or Hynes.

Are 8 trades given after 19 lock out or 20 lock out?

    My guess is the following:

Meaney returns on the left wing in R20 - his defence at centre is awful but solid on the wing, and his kicking is needed.

Anderson and Howarth remain at centre, with Reimis as cover (Reimis was available last week and played NSW Cup instead so I assume they are both ahead of him)

Thinking of trading Grant for Ponga, bit worried I'd be a bit loaded up in the backline with:

    Kiraz Iro
    Ponga Latrell Manu

    with Wighton in reserve

Sipley should be a 45ish guy if he gets 40 minutes. Only Paseka to come back. Hmm.

Yeh I'm pretty tempted. Brought Tohu in a couple of weeks ago despite warning signals in here - massive mistake. Thinking I go straight from him to Sipley and pocket the cash ready for gun buying season incoming.

Long as he gets 40 mins he's set for solid scores and quite a weeks of price rises? Just one bye left, in 22.

Having a little play, I think I a realistic final team for me looks something like this (bolded players already in the team)

    Cook
    Tapine Haas Yeo

    Fifita Olakau'atu
    Hynes Cleary
    Iro Wighton
    Tedesco Drinkwater Garrick

    Grant
    Murray
    Galvin
? KPP/Lemuelu/Koula or perhaps someone in the $5-600k range

    Strange
    Hands

    2 x Cashout (Starling/Simpkin? and whoever looks best R20/21)

    Fun exercise!

    Cook
    Haas Watson Murray
    Fifita Crichton
    Hynes Cleary
    Aitken Iro
    Latrell Young Ponga

    SWalker
    Grant
    EKatoa
    Marzhew
    Sam Fainu
    Hands

    Howarth
    Cashout

Should be reachable with bank of 452, 4+8 trades remaining to boot TMay, Galvin, Wishart, Moale, Wighton. But a lot depends on the big boys dropping bucks!

....actually too much. May end up with a Hynes OR Cleary compromise, sadly.

Can't get any concrete info on Paseka return. Would've had surgery on thumb around week and half ago and recovery usually 1 to 2 months so worst case if getting Sipley could be back in 2-3 weeks?

Sipley for 4 weeks could be quite useful. Especially next week if Fifita does play Origin, he could slot in as a nice cheap forward with upside

I've got some similar trade in targets in Ola, Murray and Cleary. Thoughts on McInnes instead of Murray? Pretty similar prices and averages, both miss one more game (assuming no origin for McInnes). My main concern is uncertainty around how Murray scores at 2nd Row

I had Jacob Preston as an alternative to Murray - who I was going to wait until after origin on to see if he ends up going back to lock/what his role is.

Bateman another possibility but a bit iffy on his role going forward and whether he'll score enough. There's a possibility he'll drop under $600k though which would make him tempting

I think if you want McInnes it has to be this week, as short term his price is only going up. R20 bye is not ideal but playing R19 makes up for it and his role looks fairly secure. Definitely an option.
