I like it mate stronger than me. My team value is 13.25mil looks like yours is a bit higher than that.Milchcow wrote:
Having a little play, I think I a realistic final team for me looks something like this (bolded players already in the team)
Cook
Tapine Haas Yeo
Fifita Olakau'atu
Hynes Cleary
Iro Wighton
Tedesco Drinkwater Garrick
Grant
Murray
Galvin
? KPP/Lemuelu/Koula or perhaps someone in the $5-600k range
Strange
Hands
2 x Cashout (Starling/Simpkin? and whoever looks best R20/21)
Getting to that still leaves me 6 trades spare to deal with injuries, or nabbing cheap guns if they appear.
If the opportunity comes to upgrade guys like Galvin, Garrick, Wighton I will have room to act.
Other upgrades will be easier/harder based on how much Cleary's price drops (if at all) before I get him as well as other targets like Olakau'atu, Murray, Drinkwater who might drop a bit ore cash before I get them in.
And my tradeouts need to not lose too much cash before I ditch them too.
Its not a competition winning 17, but its not too bad.

Thought I’d have a go
Api
Haas, Koloa, Plath
Fifita, KPP
Hughes, Brown
Iro, Wighton
Latrell, Wishart, Weekes
Grant, Galvin, Matto, May
Strange, Faalogo, Salmon, Shoes
Those in bold are going to be staying on for the season.
Guys like Matto, KPP could stay around if they manage to retain starting roles. Strange could stay too as decent cover for CTR.
Will leave Brown, May, Wishart, Weekes, Faalogo and the Bulldogs duo as trade pieces over the next few weeks, quite a bit of money tied up there so should be able to make some moves

I’m liking the look of him as well. Scored gun levels end of last year as a starter. Cheap enough to give a crack.
Salmon to him is locked and loaded

Anyone worried about minutes for McInnes with 4 big forwards on the bench?

Sipley could go nicely but not sure about minutes after rd19, Seibold hasn't backed him this year.
With Jurbo playing 80, from rd20 on there's probably only the two prop spots to be shared across all of Aloiai, Sipley, Brown, Waddell, Bullemor.
No return date known for Paseka but believe nrlphysio said 1-2month range. 6 weeks would see him back rd21.

I still feel the pain of taking a punt on Sipley in 2022, not sure if I can do it again

Pretty perfect cash down, obviously not planned in your 17 but has upside to be a 35-40 scorer if he keeps the role at worst drops to 20-30 as a bench hooker, which is better than a 0.
You'd imagine he'd have at least a couple of weeks starting. Only Levi/Woolford the threats.

Sea Eagles released a new injury report not long ago this afternoon
Here is the latest Sea Eagles injury news from NRL Head Physiotherapist Chris Bailey heading into round 18 of the Telstra Premiership.
Corey Waddell is out this week for the Cowboys game with an ankle injury.
Taniela Paseka (Rd 15 vs Dragons) has undergone successful repair surgery and has returned to field based running. He is expected to be fit to play in a number of weeks.
Lachlan Croker (Rd 9 vs Canberra) continues to progress in team training following an associated neck injury from the original concussion.
Matthew Lodge (Rd 11 vs Brisbane) is progressing his reconditioning running and upper body strength following bicep surgery. He remains on track to return to play 12 weeks post surgery.

Tempted by him or Simpkin
Updates on Lachlan Croker are pretty vague, so I can see Simpkin starting for a while too.

Can do something like Faalogo/Salmon/Shoes to Starling/Murray/Bateman
Really eats into the Hynes/Cleary fund though.

How are your round 19 numbers looking? The big bye rounds are the best ones to make big moves up the rankings, and this is looking like the toughest to field 13 players. Both Starling and Murray on the bye.

Alright apart from WFB, the smart play is probably just to do something like Salmon/Shoes/Faalogo to two WFBs and be done with it. Or do nothing and sort it next week.Jele wrote:
