Silly given I knew the Dragons would be poor

I did make the mistake of chasing between Hale and Taufa last week, will try not to at WFB
Kennedy Cherrington would have gone full game also without sin bin

(Berry saved score a bit also)

I think NRLW EDG needs to be considered, MID and WFB for NRL have some upside but then boost is riskier

NRLW WFB the way to go I think.

Maybe go a male mid over a lady mid.

Looks like big update to Taufa because the stats were broken from 43 to 67.

Still Ynot and I off to a flyer at 561

    483 all done.
Lost out on Crichton and Upton. Sad

Upton could've had another 10 points in try saves and fantasy points definitely doesn't show how involved she was or how well she played.

    550 for me

if I had picked Pelite instead of Upton (and boosted her like I did Upton) then i would be winning the comp after round 1.

Good start, but its a tough comp to do well in.

Just looking at the ownership this week:

HOK: Lauren Brown is at 56%, which would allow Haas at MID. I think she's more a 35-40 player rather than 50+, but Titans look great and she's the half, main in play kicker and goal kicker so it might be a good move. None of the Male HOK are setting the world on fire. Pick whoever from the Men, still think Cook has the best mix of upside and floor.

HLF: Cleary at  92.3% is bonkers, anyone game enough to go with Fogarty?

WFB: Pelite is at 39%, Berry 14.4% and Upton at 13.7%. Pick one (I think), all have potentially favourable match-ups! Campbell I also like, with his kicking/goalkicking/tackling floor. Maybe in combo with Brown at hooker. Ponga too if he gets some kick metres and even if he doesn't.

CTR: Kelly, all day. Stats didn't change much playing (I think) 5/8.

EDG: Koloamatangi (29%) v Fifita (19%) is interesting, Crichton (6%) should also not be forgotten. I think it's hard to go away from Koloa with his 80 min middle role, but that may drop to 65-70 with Murray back this week. In terms of W options, usual suspects in Clydsdale (12%) and Apps (11%) are popular but have floors in the low 30s. Charlotte Basham is an interesting one, only 18 but pumped out 54 with 49 (!) tackles, with a few tackle busts and low run metres. One to watch for sure, has played a lot of rep footy. I think Pio is a solid high floor option too at 0.3%, playing 55ish minutes in the middle.

MID: A lot of Male MID with Haas (33%), Yeo (12%) and AFB (6%), I guess in combo with Brown HOK. Taufa is at 22%, Hale 10% and Albert 5%. Albert had a career game on the weekend, not sure it's repeatable. I think any of the others are good options. Millie Elliott will have a boom game at some point, but floor is in the high 30s. Keep an eye on Alexis Tauaneai who played the 70, with massive numbers, still only young. Kennedy Cherrington is worth a watch too, would've played the 70 if not for a sin bin and with the try could've score 60+.

Interesting week with Brown performing well Rd 1!

Great post, definitely some reactionary plays there.

HOK - for me still has to be NRLM
HLF - I think you have to go Chin and boost for safety, but Fog or Campbell could be worth a shout if you want to gamble on the 1-week variance
CTR - I gambled Sergis last week, didn't actually see the game, is it worth another spin?
WFB - % ownerships seem to be chasing last weeks scores a bit, toss a 3-sided coin IMO
EDG - mistake not going with Koloa last week, but agree slightly less appeal this week. Crichton so low is definitely people reacting to last weeks poor score.
MID - Taufa v Hale feels a bit chasing last week too, I'll probably stick with Hale.

lol, am I reading that right that there are 10 teams in the league? I opened the app, looked at the league and saw I was in 10th spot and I thought sweet, how good am I?!

And then I saw there were only 10 teams in the league, lol.

Points-wise, I still seem to have done okay despite missing First Ladies game.

Cool, thanks, found it. I've only looked at it on my phone as a desktop unofficial app kind of thing and that button is actually 90% off screen at the top right up there, but I noticed it now with that info.

    10/16, nice. I'll take it.

    My initial thoughts

Liddle - annoyed I overlooked most HOKs for Cook. Liddle going pretty well whenever he gets 80. Low ownership
Hale - fairly underwhelming but still a 50. Probably dominate possession v Tigers so might take boost off
Fifita - lower ownership than Koloamatangi, sign me up
    Cleary B - no brainer
    Kelly - no brainer
Berry B - lower ownership and Cowboys were just as bad as Tigers

I’m keen on Kernick bounce back if she went to middle via Amber Hall returning but 24hr after Taufa/Hale and Fifita also locks out earlier

That Alexis Tauaneai looks interesting though

Mahalia Murphy an Eels NRLW EDG available at CTR could be cheeky to take on Kelly with a tougher matchup (although Broncos lost to 2023 spooners last week, also unsure what happened there)

Has mostly 40s with 2 18s last year (unsure what happened there)
