But yeah agree the list of trade out this week is long but there are some very good buys to make it a bit easier

I can't remember too much about the game but thinking Robbo likes him coming on mid first half to keep the middle pretty tight. Leniu on to make a statement and come out of the blocks and May keeping things defensively solid.

What could be better than bringing in 3 Panthers players? 6 of their last 7 games will be against bottom 8 teams.

I really like Howarth but will be mulling over the extra 90K in McLean instead.

I think if there are any weaknesses in your starting 17 - now is the time to address that.

he looked very classy you can just tell he's got the x factor just by the way he moves...the only negative i can find & it's not a major but penrith hit the right edge more in attack but this can change weekly depending on the opposition's weaknesses this week it may be the dragons right edge defense that they target so casey will get more ball

Yeah it’s a tough one. I’m just one of those guys that never got on Tago/TMay when they were cheapies that gunned it. So I’m hoping 3rd time lucky

Was just about to say I'm not too sure on Plath this week, not like scenarios where a trade is needed to field 17 and low trades and all.

Sure he'll drop some cash but potentially still finding his feet at hooker a bit and start to run a bit more. Reckon he's got a try in him having a dig from close to the line as well.

All it takes is a injury or two this week and would want the trade back.

While this is all true, it is the kind of thing you don't want to rely on at this time of the season. If it was earlier in the season then thats fine but if you can get in a reliable 50+ scorer for him now then I think that is the best play.

Any trades I do this week are based on what happens with Shart.

If you were sacrificing one of these to get Cleary in who would it be?

    Up: Tago
    Down: Marzhew

Not sold on removing either but Plath needs to go and Cleary needs to come in soon

Only other real outs are Fainu and Luki but faint is my only mid cover and I'll cash in on Luki in 2 weeks or so

Think most people are in a pretty good place on the injury front at the moment, not too much carnage the last couple weeks.

How quickly that could change though, 7 rounds is a long time. I think the first 7 rounds of the season a lot of us probably averaged close to an injury per week.

I'm using 2 trades this week to get Cleary in then planning to hold the remaining 5 just for injuries and restings

5 is the ideal number from here I reckon, would love to have 5 for rainy days. It's 4 for me at the moment but most likely 3 if I trade Plath, don't love it.

I will only have 3 left (have to use two to get Cleary), but on the bright side, I won't have any genuine shittos to worry about.

My EMG is currently McLean, Iro, Marzhew and Weekes, so if I do run out of trades covering injuries, those guys will do. In terms of byes in the run home, there is only one round where I have more than one player on a bye (R24 with both Haas and Carrigan), and no players on bye in R27 so I'm as prepared as I can be for carnage.

This is why I was asking about the vibe earlier

A month ago everyone was going to hold onto their 8 trades for dear life, basically only use in case of red crosses

Now we have 1 week of non-carnage, and everyone is spending trades again to get the best players ASAP

Not saying either approach is right or wrong, I probably lean toward the latter, but it's just funny how the mood swings.

I've made 39 trades before this week, and 24 were for injured players. And I think I've mainly had above average luck on that front!

Of the other 15, the only one I regret in terms of who I sold is Terrell May. But I feel those that held at the time just had bigger problems to address first, rather than it being a bad call at the time

And then if we get 1 or 2 long term injuries this weekend, that vibe will instantly go back to holding whatever trades remaining for red dots only.

My plan was always to use a bunch of my R20 trades to cash out the maxxed cash cows and ring in the best origin/discounted guns.

I don't think anyone was genuinely planning on running guys like Weekes/Wishart/Sharpe for the run home so to some extent I think everyone was planning on meaningful changes to their 17 this week and last.
