Haven’t checked in a week as on holidays with the family (like the fantasy team)
Managed to let my hair down for as many bintangs as points during the roosters and sharks games over the weekend so it was nice to see a couple games

Hope everyone in with a shout for fantasy has a good couple weeks
Otherwise hopefully with some fixes to the comp there is always next year

    Best guns IMO
    Koloamatagi with no Murray
James Tedesco with 2 reasonable looking matchups (Raiders+ Rabbitohs)  - Joseph Manu would be the cheaper point with big upside if you can;t afford Teddy

Do you want a hooker to fill in for Grant? Why not grab Liddle. Only poor score in past 3 months is the week I grabbed him in the mixer. Think he's better than Robson if you can splash the cash

    Other options
Dylan Edwards - goalkicking no Cleary. Easy run in
Adam Reynolds - last game is against Storm which doesn't typically bode well, but maybe they rest again?
Matt Burton - most traded in player this week for a reason

Thanks. I don't think I can stretch to two of them. But 1 with a Cotter/Haumole cost range gun is possible. 1 with a Manu/Munster/Papy level punt is doable as well.

    - gun + playable cheapie e.g. Hynes + Isaako???
    2. Best 2 player combo for ~1.45m (trading Strange + Galvin)
    - Hynes plus a 600k-ish guy (e.g. Haumole)
    - two 700k-ish guns (e.g. Koloa + Kini)

If you need the full team, cfb writing it, here's a link: https://footystatistics.com/team_analyser.php?team_id=21319&year=2024

Any advice much appreciated. I'm not used to having trades and options at the end game, so really unsure how to play this.

    Hmm Tricky (no, not Trindall)

If going Option 1 route you could consider something like Koloa + Manu/Wilton, not sure about Hynes at this point especially as he doesn't play until later in the round (what if he was a late out 1hr before kick off) and Koloa is a very good option.

Initially I did think I preferred the $1.45m options - Koloa + Kini sounds good (could be Lomax instead 👀 as Kini has Panthers next week), but thinking about it more having Galvin instead of an Uto/Fainu next week seems better. It's close. I think I would probably lean Option 1 with Koloa + somebody personally but you can't go too wrong.

Tough one as there's not a lot of those 600K guys I think that are worth trading in, so I'd look at the higher price bracket however, you're sacrificing Galvin which is not ideal.

    Burton and Angus was the first option I looked at but that comes in at 1.459m.  Unless you go DCE and Angus?  Other options;

    Angus and Kiraz - 1.392m
    Angus and Ted - 1.442m
    Koala and Nikora - 1.444m
Nikora and Herbie - 1.45m exact.  Herbie a decent POD
    Kini and Burton - 1.415m

    Cheaper bracket;

    DCE and Wilton - 1.249m
    Cotter and Robson - 1.243m

I don't think there's any sub 600K options worth looking at other than Wilton.

You just have to hope keeping Grant and Hughes that both play next week.  I'm sure they will but there's always a risk.  Was gonna say watch out for Plath news but not much you can do if he's out.  I know you were toying with Hynes and or Haas but I'd want some info from the coaches early if they were to play or not.  If they don't could throw things all over the shop.  Although, if you were looking at Hynes, him and either Isaako or even Alamoti could be alright.

I think Angus and Ted is the best bet but then you gotta worry about either getting a rest next week which I'm wary of.  Don't mind Angus and Kiraz though.

Edit: Shit, I did all that and you already have Angus!! Embarassed

Mate still a great post. And @BCT05 as well

I kinda want Hynes but it probably is too risky unless there's very early mail he's 100%

Someone is the low 700s (like Koloa, DCE, etc) plus a Manu/Munster/Papy/Wilton player might make the most sense... get rid of 2 midrangers for a gun and a midranger with more upside. Plus hold Galvin that way

I like Munster as a cheaper punt. I guess there's a chance he gets rested next week, but he hasn't had a lot of footy so I'd back him to play. Surely he dominates this week without Hughes and Grant, and then the Storm play their bunnies next week.

    Great list

Greg Eastwood stepping on a Lightning MacQueen is the one I think of

When I was a kid John Simon almost severed a toe or 2 in the post-game shower, slipped and sliced them on the edge of the tiles No

Thread 51 wasn't even a party thread this year

Next year someone has to take it upon themselves to be ranked in the top 10 all season so we have someone to cheer on.

I don't think Wilton is the way to go......averages like a CTR this year so why not go Joey Manu? At least Manu has a chance of going large.

DCE for the upside and then the other play should likely be an upside too

Hynes excites me more than DCE tbh
