Looking at running this team, though unsure on 4th reserve of bringing in Tolman due to possibly not playing due to injury on monday (and short turnaround) Alternative is BLaw or Holland

Anyone doing the straight swap from C.Walker -> Bird? Locks in a centre keeper gun at near bottom price (so it seems). I'm 90% on it.

Did Rochow to Bird. Like you said, keeper centre and at bottom price. Plus it means I don't have Gutherson as a scorer any more

Not interested in Bird. Pretty happy with my centres in Dugan, Holland and Hunt at this stage.
Hunt still averaging high and has only scored below 40 twice.
Bird has scored sub-20s twice and his second highest score is inflated by a stint in the halves.
Holland is every bit a potential keeper.
Either way, one of them will make way to fund an upgrade to a keeper elsewhere which improves my average much more than a replacement centre.

Yup, does anyone know how well he has scored in the past? From memory he sat around the $300k mark. I see him as purely a middle forward tackler with no attacking stats though, so weary he will flop if not given the minutes. Am I right? With Woods 70 average mins per game gone though he could get 40-50 in the middle.

didnt play 2015 but i was looking at his 2014 stats yesterday. started second row for the early part of the season scoring 20-30s and then a bunch of interchange spots. i figure they had fensom playing 80 mins in the middle most of 2014.
in the last three games of the year he started lock and scored 32, 52 & 38 in 33, 56 & 39 mins. so i think if he can get decent mins in the middle he should make a fair few tackles.
i am hoping that sue is either out this week (two concussions in last three weeks) or gets pushed into prop rotation and tigs start edwards at lock.

One of those sub 20 scores was where he got knocked out in the first half by Taupau, just something also to consider.
Bird to me has a higher ceiling, but perhaps Hunt you could say is more consistent.
Another thing to look at is Bird may spend time in the forwards or allowed to float, due to carrying Beale on the bench (who slots into centre which is the reason he is there)

Spot on. Bird's long term position will be lock. I have no doubts. He needs to be closer to the action. He's just one of those natural footballers that needs his hands on the ball. Another Gal injury and Beale sniffing around ensures Bird has a great chance of moving around a bit. Barba injury would also mean he went to fullback.

I think most Tigers supporters would prefer this as well. Move Sue into the prop rotation to avoid having to use that plodder Buchanan.

Plus I told Bird that I would bring him in if he scored well on Sunday, so guess I have to go through with it haha

Its tempting. But you would be spewing if Walker comes back next week/ A Rey isnt 100% to go this week. He is worth keeping for 1 more week IMO at least.

Fair enough with those centres.
But for my team Bird is a sensible pick. Currently have Holland, Gutherson, Auva'a and Benry. Can rely on Holland for now, but desperately need an upgrade to help me try and make some ground up and Bird at close to his low price is an easy trade for Rochow via Benry. He is the go to guy for something to happen at Cronulla and has got that Dugan crab run and palm off going nicely so a few TB's every game.

I would avoid Joel Edwards for at least one round... or at least til we know what's happening with ET.

Yep, sensible decision for your team. Easy decision, even!

Mannering hands down number 1, then take your pick after this week, probably Fensom short term, Trbo long term.
