Cheers mate, appreciate the advice all the same as it is a risky move and its good that this place can be there to talk you down from the ledge at times.

I Agree that I'm not buying him at an ideal time, but I disagree that Semi is a better player.

To me Rapa has the same Ceiling but appears to have a higher floor (Ignoring the RD 1 score as I can't for the life of me remember what happened there). His combination with BJ is lethal and what's impressed me most is that they both go looking for the ball all over the field. They scored an almost length of the field try on the opposite side to where they line up and its not the first time. It's not an ideal time to buy as I said, but if I view him as a keeper then I'm gambling on him keeping up scores of 50+ and with those, he won't get cheaper.

In essence this rapana vs semi thing is irrelevant up until after round 14. Actually rapana doesn't miss a game. If u think rapana will average about 8-9 more points up until then he's probably worth it. Gives u more time to look at semi if your not sure about him. One thing to remember is raiders have the best draw this year and seem to be an attacking side whereas the eels are more focused on defense. Personally I'm missing both and getting BJ is as cheap as semi nearly and plays centre.

I'd also just like to point out that I am very meticulous and by the book. I have a set strategy when it comes to this game (not always correct of course) - I tend to follow set principles and strategies I use in everyday investing, 100% based around price and market position - and I like to apply those to this game.

Over-paying is my greatest fear and finding value is my motivation. It excites me. I'm weird though. Aren't we all?  Cool

I have 6599 points. Surely I will be the closest! Rank 1604

Also Captaincy options this week, do I dare take it off Smith?

    Smith vs Titans
    Friend vs Knights
    Fifita vs Broncos
    Surgess vs Tigers

Fifita could be a goer for Captaincy this week...

So who should I trade in first this week with the other coming into my side next week? Graham or Radradra?

Don't ask me about Semi again mate I screwed you over in SC last year lol

Graham is a FR keeper, Semi is borderline dependant on Eels form at the backend of the season

    NO guts, NO glory

I think I might wait a week on Semi, gives me another chance to see if Mansour flops again. Can go Mansour - Semi next week if that is the case.

Finally think it's time to cash in on Grant by downgrading to Welch Nichol, which will allow me to upgrade Walker to Hunt with $26k left in the bank.

In saying that would much prefer to save the trades, what's the likelihood Reynolds has rebroken his jaw and Walker's brought back into the side?

Why would you sell Grant? He'll be gold over byes unless his injury is more than 1-2 weeks

Too many red dots so need to get Hunt in. But your right, I didn't math correctly the first time, I can actully trade Nichol for Saifiti and still bring in Hunt with $4k to spare.

Have been planning to go Hastings to Hunt when Pearce comes back. Seems like Hastings has another good price rise in him. Is it worth waiting one more week or pull the trigger now!

raised the idea of JWH last night. reckon it's a decent move. scores just below gun level but is priced accordingly. has the potential to go on a run of big games, never seems to get much ownership, and great for the bye rounds
