Shocked to see only 3 pages to read this morning, I won't know what to do with my spare 2 hours now.

As for the C Lawrence discussion it has been mentioned elsewhere that with teddy out, Rankin moves to fullback, Simona/Frozone to the wing and the Claw will play centre to allow ET to play backrow somewhere. I hope this does not eventuate because Claw has been our best backrower this year and to weaken one position to hold up another position is a Sheens type decision.

If this were to occur, I would look at trading the Claw

I wonder what these "necessary changes" will be ???

If they tidy up Hayne's ongoing incentives by bringing him back from the States and giving him to the Tigers for the next 4-6 weeks then I think they are all squared up Very Happy

Was just about to ask what happened back then. That's a good thing for the Eels.

In regards only 3 pages, Fantasy coaches in practice are on a bye Very Happy

I think Taylor really doesn't want to move Claw from the 2nd row. I don't think JT would move him out to put ET in, considering as you say, he's been pretty good this year so far. Milone might get one more shot. They got Addo Carr that can play wing to, keeping the centres as they are. I don't think you'd put Simona on the wing.

Yep, there shouldn't be wholesale changes. However the Tigers are renowned for doing it. Just with Addo Carr, he didn't play Ressies on the weekend but not sure if injured or because he was linked with the Storm before Morgan got signed instead.

I think I read he was in fact injured but I don't think it was a seriuos one, could be wrong.

I'd think Milone, Addo-Carr and Chee-Kam works all play back line before CLaw.

Probably Lovett too. Maybe Watson Heleta might get a run

A whole bunch of board members and staff have been deregistered by the NRL. I imagine getting rid of them formally from the club would be a key part.

They have to get under the 2016 cap. Board members etc have nothing to do with it.

He's asking for speculation on how in the hell they're going to find $600k of cap in a week before their next game so they can earn points.

Early release of any players signed elsewhere for next year, selling of players for cut-prices... renegotiating deals to back-end them... etc.

Addo was injured, withdrew morning of the intrust cup. Also, storm tried to sign Addo for the rest of the year and Tigers suddenly grew some balls and refused to release him.

Presumably they have been planning for this for some time, cutting back the 570k I mean. Therefore you'd think we'll see some changes pretty soon. But remember all findings are provisional at this stage and the club has a right of reply. I have no idea if that will have any bearing on the final result, but what ever happens one would think the Eels will get this sorted in time for the next round. They still have a chance, albeit a very small one of making the 8 this year so one would hope they get things sorted ASAP to give them that small chance of playing for something this year!

On the other hand it sounds like even until now the Eels continue to deny the allegations so who knows what will happen in the coming weeks.

The next week is gonna be very interesting, especially in terms of DT.

Might be able to clear Watmough if the insurance stuff gets finalised , and then a couple of other players perhaps.
Ryan Morgan has signed with the Storm so that helps

i think they'll sort out this years cap before the next game. already letting ryan morgan go to storm was obviously part of this plan, and with the announcement the NRL would have to be ready to move quickly/approve changes quickly.

junior paulo is signed to the raiders for next year, he may be let go immediately. you could ship someone guys like de gois + hasson to super league. that would have to be close to 570k between the four of them.

watmough will factor into it in some way.

    We'll take any of them.

Anyone that can play 1-17 would be a shoe in within our team

Claw at 5/8 didn't work so bad for the Tigers the other night. I doubt they would drop Moses but I wonder if this might be an option.

They just need Watmoughs medical clearance for retirement and they are instantly under the cap.

Releasing players only creates some space and depends on what the other club is paying. ie Morgan might be on 300k, Melbourne might only have 100k left to pay him plus Parra need to promote someone into top 25 on minimum payment of 80k therefore they really only drop 20k off salary cap. Other clubs will also know that they have the upperhand in any negotiation so will try pay the least amount.

Id like to see Parra do what the Storm did with Hoffman and send Tim Mannah and Kyasa Pritchard off to ESL then bring them back next year, Mannah because he is a great club man and Pritchard because he is the no3 hooker, signed long term and being so young could use the game experience.
