Edit: Looks like Hoffman could be on a bit more money

The Warriors beat other clubs to secure the signature of Ryan Hoffman by offering him a three-year deal rather than a two-year arrangement.
The Storm were keen to retain the State of Origin player when his contract ran out at the end of this year and a number of Sydney clubs were also interested. But on top of the money the Warriors offered, believed to be $1.6 million, a big factor in his deciding to move to Auckland was the club's willingness to give him a three-year deal, which will take him to the age of 34.

Also, I wonder how much the Rabbits paid Gurgess after his unbelievable rookie year. You would have to be a bit worried now.

This is how I'm shaping up for round 12 & will aim to have 17:
    Tolman, Grant
    JDB, Fensom, Whitehead, Bhana, Asiata
    B. Hunt, Mbye, Lamb
    Holland, Littlejohn
    Hopoate, Gutherson, Feeney

Hopefully Bhana stays in the 17, Asiata gets more minutes & is in the 17 & Hopoate plays on a Sunday.
Littlejohn & Feeney are unlikely to play.

I know it's early but just for the sake of discussion over this quiet rep round what are people planning to do with Teddy?
Could be a short-term injury but 3 weeks running with Lamb or a Gutherson back on the wing as a reserve doesn't sound too good. The obvious way to go is to bring Munster in but next game they play they face the Cows and I don't think he'll score too well against them.

I'm erring on the side of caution with Ted's prognosis and trading him out for Aitken. We have our 1st bye in Round 15 so I reckon there's a chance we don't see Ted till Round 16. I was one of the lucky few who picked Munster up halfway through last year so would love to reward him by getting him into my Trousers again this year, but I am purely trading on byes for the next 4 weeks.

I'm not sure why you wouldn't run with gutherson as a starter atm

Well if he's parked on the wing then I don't think his potential for scoring big is too good. He had a big stats boost thanks to the fullback move and a lot of people will be chasing that 85 score and I'd be weary of doing that.
With how Souths are going though I do think he'd be a good option for reserve ahead of B Law in Round 10.

I thought he played in the halves? I didn't get to watch the game.

Is he not replacing foran in the halves?

Taka replaced Foran. Guthersen started on the wing and ended up at fullback when Gordon went off with a bad cork. Gordon is expected to play next round.

I would sell Tedesco for a round 12 player. SI suggested Aitken & that is an excellent option as he's all about base stats & scores well. I also think B. Lamb would be a good 4th reserve. He scored 46 in a team that got thrashed, made 24 tackles & kicked for 400 metres.

Foran also expected to play next round.

nothings really changed with gutherson as per any winger, he will have 15-20 pt games and he will have a few big scores. unless gordon cops a long term injury that wont change.

I'm going to try plan out a few trades and see whether or not it's worth trading out Teddy. I think I'd rather save the two trades and run my other 3 WFB. Have Gutherson too so not too worried. Could be far worse lol

Nothing would be more motivating than wiping out a 12 point deficit to make the playoffs. Especially when you're not even last by many points cuz the bottom teams are so rubbish

Eels keeping their +45 points differential could also mean they need only 11 wins if the table falls in favour at the end of the 26 rounds, definitely doable.

Breaking news - Newcastle Knights have rorted the salary cap but they only lose 3 points so they reckon it's worth it. Very Happy

You/SI could be onto something with Aitken actually. I mean I've taken advice here before on trading in a Dragons player that MASSIVELY backfired but I like the prospects of what I could do with him.
E.g since I think Munster will be kept quiet against the Cows I don't believe I'll miss out on a big score plus Aitken plays first two bye rounds. Trading Teddy to him frees up a lot of cash and I can use that to upgrade Gutherson or Holland to Munster anyway.
I don't think Aitken's a keeper but could be a decent POD for a while and I love my DPP's. I'll crunch some numbers and work out future trades to see if it's worth it but seems like an interesting way to go.
