I've traded him in at this stage for Taylor. I have to say though of the three reasons I see for bringing him in, making cash is just an added bonus. The 2 main reasons I've got him in are (1) he is a good cash out option for Taylor which allows me to upgrade one of my forwards (wouldn't have the cash otherwise), and (2) as it stood only 1 of my halves was playing round 12 - with the trade I have at least 2 halves playing in rounds 12 through 19.

Is Taylor an urgent trade though? 36 points in a team that couldn't post a single point is promising.

My bye planner says that if I go Parcell to De Gois I get an extra 70 points over the bye period, then on top of that I'm pretty sure De Gois will make enough $ to make switching to Cam or Friend after round 19 a heck of a lot easier. All assuming Peats leaves the Eels of course. What are peoples thoughts on that? Am I right in assuming De Gois is pretty much a certainty to get 60+ minutes and ~45 points a game if Peats leaves?

They have other options but based on his games from 3-5 when Peats was injured 60 mins and 40pts is fair expectation

No Taylor isn't urgent, but I need to generate some cash from somewhere and Taylor is my best bet - he wouldn't be in my 17 as it stands, I would only play him if Roberts wasnt. On top of that if you want Lamb then one would expect it'll cost you at least another 25k, probably more if you hold till next week. So if you are like me and was a cash out, or like SolentGreen and looking for a cash cow then this week would be the time to do it wouldn't it?

This is exactly what I'm wanting to do. If Peats is gone by next round, I was going to give it a week and then get De Gois in for round 12. His BE is 48 or something like that so it is definitely worth watching for a week if we can. And Parcell should be closer to ripe by then also.

It almost sounds too good to be true, something is bound to go wrong.

    The old WFB conundrum.

Question: Do people see Mitchell and/or Barba as potential keepers?

Yeah for sure, I'm definitely getting on Lamb this week, just need to decided between trading Taylor, Mansour, Gordon or spend the money and upgrade Feeny.

When are people trading out Blaw?

Going from him to Tolman or Mooper for 80K seems solid.

He has a BE of 29 and an average of 39 so I guess it depends on your team, but for me at least, he is a hold as I think he'll make some more $. If anything he will be my last R but probably not in my 17 at all so I can afford to see how he goes. I'd like to see where his minutes are this week, hopefully he is back over 40 along with his score. That being said, while he is not an urgent trade I'd like to upgrade him to a gun FRF or 2RF at some point, perhaps even holding him until round 16/17.

Nothing in fantasy is ever a certainty.
I do think 45 points is a reasonable assumption for De Gois if Peats leaves and De Gois starts. EVen with Pritchard on the bench I think De Gois wil score well.

What are your assumptions for Parcell? His scores will vary a lot depending on Koroisau and who starts

Taylor's only good scores have come when Roberts is missing.

Whilst he isn't an urgent trade his price is unlikely to be climbing any great heights in the near future

It's a tough one. His average is only at 39 cause of that 59 game he had with a try. I really don't see him being more than a 35 point player from here on. If only his minutes would increase.

I noticed that with his scores with that game he got injured when Roberts was back, was annoying as hell.

Too many options to trade out, him Mansour or Gordon, doing my head in.

I'm assuming Parcell starts and averages 45 - well thats the assumptions in my Bye planner as it stands. I guess its a bit of a wait and see on him with all of the Manly lads coming back. Koroisau due back next week? and Buhrer listed as Rnd 11 too. How do you see that effecting Parcell's numbers? All the more reason to make the change maybe.

Parcell is a week by week thing for me. I'd seriously love to keep him, but just don't see him playing 80 the rest of the year.

Yeah maybe, but if you strip 12 points off him say, for the try (then he averages 37), then to be fair you probably need to add a few to compensate for that 21 minute game which seems like a bit of an outlier as well. I'm of the opinion that he may well score a try and get a LB every now and then, just like he may well have games where he only goes 20 odd minutes or 20 odd points. ~40 seems about fair as a result. I;m keen to see what happens with him this week though.

Despite their current averages I see Mitchell as more of a keeper than Barba (have them both). I like the look of Mitchell and think/hope his scores will improve as the Chooks improve. He looks like he is gonna get some pretty consistent RMs and TBs, plus the other base stats and then the odd try and LB. Maybe even average in the high 40s from here on in. To be fair though I haven't watched much of Barba this year!

That try BLaw scores against Newcastle was a 20+ point play. Try, line break, and multiple tackle breaks.

Does inflate his average a bit (unless you think its something he'll replicate a couple more times this year)

OK, so 20 instead of 12, but the point still stands, take 20 off him and his average goes down to 36 or so, but if you are gonna balance things based on outliers, surely you need to do the same with the 21 minute game he had, no? Unless of course you think the try was an absolute one off, but you think he'll play 20 minutes once every 6 games. I still think his current average is probably a fair reflection of him, but thats just me. He might not have a 20 point play every 6 games but he will probably rack up the odd LB, and TBs, just like he'll probably have the odd quiet game as well.

It was a 24 point play if I remember rightly.
