Yeah, that's what I thought, and is why I picked up Bhana when I was strongly considering Bateman a few weeks back. Good move that proved to be Mad
I knew Priest was the bottom of the hierarchy of the 17, but I wasn't sure about Bateman vs Tapine. Lima and Soli are due back soon, yah?

Bateman's been getting more minutes than Tapine, would be possible he gets the nod over him (or Lima, who is not all that any more)? In real life he's been playing well anyway, everything at 100 miles an hour and a good work rate.

    Round 10 Write Up

Just want to get a few things out there, I haven't really had my mind on much of late. I've recently had my IDs stolen and things signed for using my name. It's been quite stressful trying to get everything removed and new stuff seems to pop up everyday. Also my mother has been diagnosed with breast cancer which is now her third bout with cancer, add to this my sister is on stress leave from work while she deals with lupus. So while I'm sure you understand and don't care I would still like to apoligise for the lack of write up in previous weeks.

Also please don't post sympathetic messages, you're all an amazing group of people and I know you already send your support. Let's just enjoy the write up, have a laugh together and enjoy the good things in life Smile

13 tackle busts by Leilua! Wow! Definitely one of my best buys at the start of the season. Started off slow so I thought he was a dud, but he's on fire now. Hopefully he keeps it up.

Hmm, Tapine vs Bateman - I guess there's a chance Ricky chooses to drop Tapine and play Bateman, though I'd never really considered it as they are both so very different players. For mine, Bateman was brought in as a replacement for Soli, as he gets through a heap of work whereas Tapine brings a bit of spark. Tapine was the first used this year so that hints that he's higher up the pecking order but Bateman has always been very highly rated at the club. My gut has also just told me there's more of a chance of one of the more established players (such as Feno) being dropped then the new guys.

As for the return of the others -
Well both were due back this week prior to the rep round, but the latest update the club gave was
    "Sia Soliola, Round 12-13
    Jeff Lima, Round 12-13 "
Although there were some talking about whether they would be included last minute this week as they have been seen training without any apparent problems or protection so who knows.

I mean it's a chance as I said above. When I actually break it down and try to analyse it it seems a much closer thing, but based on my gut I'd always just kinda seen Tapine as a bit of a certainty.

In the pre game interview, Ricky said they expected both Soli and Lima back within a fortnight. i'd say bateman got more time tonight because of fensom's shoulder injury.

Who was doing the counting? There would have been an investigation for shiz if you didn't win in a landslide. This year will be no different, despite your recent feeble attempts to be a bad ass keyboard warrior. Just accept it SI, it's your destiny.

Fucking hell BJ, what a boss.  That try also was a fucking try, would have had a monster score if they gave him that.

Also Fensom with 45?!  Didn't he only play not even 45 minutes total, I was expecting 30 tops.  Hopefully his shoulder is nothing serious.

Don't think Aitken should go up that much either, wasn't his BE 44?

Yep, finally pulled his finger out and lived up to some of his potential. Hopefully this means he will continue it and make me look a little less silly about talking him up at the start of the year.

Watching the game last night I have to say that J. Wighton had a very poor game overall. I know he threw that last pass but he was just trying to win the game & chanced his arm & it didn't pay off & I don't blame the loss on him. However there were 3 or 4 occasions throughout the game where he stuffed up & I thought it looked like his timing was off & he looked lost at times. I think his best position is centre but Croker & BJ have those positions locked up.

I think I need to start buying some gun backs. Dealing with never ending injuries & my pack & halfs has meant I've not touched my outside backs. I desperately need a BJ & Aitken.
