Okay, I've had a big Saturday and I can't attest to my mental capacity right now (it's all I can do to try and type this out correctly) but those lads talking about trading parker out on the back of one score when he is averaging more than 52 points per game, well it'd be nice to have unlimited trades but he's a keeper even if he's no longer an outright gun so really think about that decision. You can think I'm just some guy who is intoxicated or you can realise that I've achieved an enlightened state and trading Parker out is a stupid move.

Ok I'm also having a decent Saturday at some Italian beer bar, shits pretty good so who knows how compared that makes me. But go back and look at Parker's scores the two weeks before this. He scored a try last minute in each to salvage his score but take 8 off that for the try and conversion. Now subtract another another 4 for the lb. Now take another 3 off for the tb (I'm pretty sure both occasions actually got him more than 1 tb but w/e). Now look at the score, is it worth his price tag? What about if you remove all his kicking points as well now that he doesn't seem to be the kicker? What about if he plays origin?

Kata back to scoring 48 points again. Let's see if he can do it 4 weeks in a row again like he managed earlier in the season. Not sure I'm willing to keep him around long enough to find out.

Glad you held him for this week at least. I felt bad that I was kinda advocating trading him when I heard his score, which was boosted by a try, but still would've hurt.

I'm getting tired of wasting trades on backs anyway. At this point I think only Aitken and Tedesco are my trade targets for the coming weeks in the backs and then I'm done. Guth, Ferg and probably Lolohea can make way.

Pretty good updates overnight - 716 with Tolman, Hastings, Barba, Lamb and Ferg to come. Barring the obligatory midgame injury, I'm pretty confident that I'll crack 900 for the first time this season.. Been a long time coming.

Haven't read through the whole thread and missed the Boncos Manly game but did JTrbo go off injured or did he just play small minutes? Cheers

I agree that trading a player out on the back of one big score is generally not a smart idea. Parker is one of the least sillier options though with origin just coming up.

Last 3 years he's been rested after origin at least once, and if that continues he's going to miss a chunk of football over the next 6-8 weeks.

Of course if you trade anyone out after a poor score you are just about maximising your losses, so financially its generally better to hold them.

    I'm 529/8 (including Captain Cam)

Promising start, Mansour's 42 is my lowest score. But I've still got the dodgiest players in my 17 to come so not sure if I can keep up the high rate of scoring.

Now if only I had Leilua, Tohu or a few more of the recent big scorers.

Going to be some monster scorers this round in any case

Ive got dodgy players left to come as well. Barba, CLaw, Tolman, Aubo, Holland and Mitchell...

They could all go massive, or all go small...

Im pretty much the same as you Sik, 639 from 11 including (C)am.

Barba, Ferg, Hastings, Mitchell, Lamb, Graham to come.

the Manly game dicked me a bit. Taupau, Parker, JTrbo all a bit light on their scores.

Not every try gets given a try assist.

I'm not sure of the exact criteria as to how much work has to be done to qualify.
