not that he's a total discard, he'll continue to start you would think. but it seems his shelf-life at the raiders is coming to an end. i wouldn't be surprised if he's looking for a new club soon (nfi what his contract situation is)

Currently on 500K per year. Contract runs till end of next year.

For the short term I'm looking at Taukeiaho, especially if he keeps the goal kicking duties for a while but I wouldn't class him as a keeper. The only one is probably Cordner and you will have to wait till after Origin to get him.

I like the idea of SST, and he only has one bye left. The good news is neither are far off a straight swap, both SST an Ma'u in the 390's.

To me Raiders best pack/bench looks like

    Vaughan Hodgson Paulo
    Papalli Whitehead
    Soliola

    Baptists Boyd Tapine Lima/Bateman/Fensom

with Fensom probably third in line for the last bench spot. Whether Ricky sees it that way I dunno.

Instead of stacking forwards, the raiders need a fullback that doesn't have greasy fingers. Not sure how wighton hasn't been replaced. He has a lot of errors in his game right now.

I like SST as an option but when all chooks are back in the pen he will probably be left to roost on a lower perch, ie interchange

He is making a lot of errors of late but still manages to get selected. If his name was Mann or Feeney he would have been dropped

The likes of feeny or Mann don't set up try's or make tackles. His got the skills, reckon he either lacks confidence or nerves.

    Is Bateman a sell now?

635/11. Gutherson, Ma'u and Feeney to play. Up over 1000 spots to 300th. Very happy, doing way better than I expected.

I'll pop my cherry one of these days and such an auspicious day that will be!

    Feeney Laughing
    Gutherson :pp:
    Semi Basketball

I would be pretty happy with 500.

Rapana's a better fullback than Wighton. The only reason they wouldn't shift is Rapana works so well with BJ and is a good finisher. When you consider how many talented players out there are capable of playing fullback but are behind in the pecking order and/or playing on the wing it's a little bit puzzling to think Wighton is the Raiders first choice fullback.
On the Bateman thing I got no clue. Wait to see what his BE next week and decide based on whether you think he'll hit the mark based on his 35 score. If it's any help the Raiders play 2 days after Origin and so there's a chance they'll rest Papalii from the game and keeping Bateman making cash another week.

    Round 13 team:

    Smith (Friend)
    Graham, Surgess
Parker, Taupau, Harris (ET, Whitehead, Fensom)
    Hunt, Taylor
    Holland
    Barba, Mitchell, Feeny

    Tempted trades: HHunt ---> Hurrell
would leave me with $160k + give me 17 players/2 centres for the round and hopefully Hurrell makes $100k or so if he becomes the Titans starting centre.

I wish I could dig up the Sportal posts from last year calling for Wighton to be NSW fullback.

I was going to bring in Radradra but I might go French instead. Gives me 344k in the bank & allows Macca to Parcell/Peats & Bhana to ET/James next round.

I'd happily bet people that Fensom will not make NSW team anytime soon too. :pp:

No AE at this stage, only 16 players due to injuries/byes.

      Current date/time is Sat Nov 23, 2024 12:33 am
