I've seen a few Warriors fans refer to them as the "Vodafone Warriors" which seems odd to me - can't think of any other teams referred to by their sponsor (other than in media releases). Is this a common kiwi thing?
I'd actually find it amusing if this were more widespread - go the Dyldam Eels!

Anyone else who CS9 vc. Will you loophole his 58 or are you sticking with your captain. My captain is ET & I might stick with him as he might score well v the Roosters.

I have VC'd Tedesco, which given the current weather looks like a poor decision. Captain Graham unlikely to get loopholed out

I have Graham as captain but I was never in a position to loophole. It was just a straight Graham vs Smith choice so fingers cross he gets at least 58 lol

Vodafone Warriors fans get a cut from the Vodafone Warriors every time they mention the sponsor of the Vodaone Warriors which is of course Vodaone.
Vodafone vodafone vodafone!

Happy with Cleary, not as stoked with Munster.
Injury free so far this week which is the main thing (fingers crossed).

You must be a hard taskmaster, I'd take 40+ from my backs any day I think! In the scheme of things 41 isn't too bad

I'm from Victoria originally so I suppose it's the Storm, though I've never been to a match of theirs. I lived in Sydney for five years in the late 90s, lived in North Sydney for a while and went to Bears games... Jason Taylor was a star back then, I remember him scoring some tries in front of me. Funny though, I like to see Queensland winning Origin, because I grew to dislike NSW fans who I watched games with who were so obviously biased and were relying on unsavoury tactics from the league or the refs to hand them victories on a platter.
I'm a believer in not feigning prawn-sandwiches-style support for a team if I didn't grow up with them. I follow NFL and EPL a lot but don't have a team there either, just enjoying it for the sporting spectacle, and usually barracking quietly for the underdog - e.g. whoever is playing Man U.

Yeah, hard task master indeed. Not a terrible score and unrealistic to expect him to score 50s every week. Thanks for the perspective.
Parker can get fucked for his effort though.

Whereabouts in VIC? Beautiful state down here... and whereabouts are you now?
I miss the bears. They were my uncle's team - he was probably going to the same games you were living in North Sydney around that same time, maybe a few years before.

Parker's score of 26 is pretty bad considering the Warriors had a lot of ball so the Broncos had to do a lot of defense. Origin must have really taken a lot out of him.
