I'm probably gonna bring in Mannering next week, cheap as.

Yeah, I was kind of leaning towards giving Packer one more week. Partly because I'm undecided and don't want to make the wrong choice, but also because Parker's been going good. But everyone was giving me shit for having to play him Razz His BE is low too, and any extra cash will help my crummy team.
It depends on how Mannering is likely to go against the Knights. He could score 3 tries and score 90, or he might not have to do much defending and score 35 Neutral

And I'm not even in the top 10% of winning, so I will consider any advice given, as everyone else is likely to be much more experienced at this than me Cool

As for your calculations I wish you had done these earlier because that was the boring, most time consuming part, going over every stat in every game, it drove me bonkers. The Round 1 mistake will be fixed after this round, which Ben Hunt has a lead with -22

VLOOKUP is a wonderful thing for making these things easier.

But even though I wanted to find the 'real' winner I think some subjective analysis needs to be applied.

After all, in rd 4 Paul Carter was so bad he got hooked from the game by half time. That is pretty much an automatic Carter award, regardless of how many kick-offs Ben hunt dropped. that round.

Sometimes the 'quality' of the mistake, or the calibre of the person making the mistake, makes them more deserving than if its just Mitch Moses being used as a speed bump again

Packer's last two scores are 47 and 45, his price should increase and Mannering has a BE of 54. I guess if you wanted to bring in the keepers right away do it, but don't get pressured by other people. I wish I started with Packer as opposed to Evans, I'd still have him too and would definitely keep the trade and use him next week.

I don't think DeBelin back will hurt his minutes and if anythign might hurt Mooper's minutes since he's been given a release. I'd hold. I know it looks better with Mannering as opposed to Packer, but he's working. You got no one else to trade out instead?

Oh fuck wait, it's for Packer?  Yeah hang on to him till after Round 15.  Manners will still be under 450k then, I should have read the post better.

The week I bring him in is inconsequential, as far as I can see, as they both only have 1 bye left and both are in round 18. It's mostly about getting the most V A L U E! and about whether they may end up getting a similar score anyway given Packer's improved form and Mannering's vs Knights. And waiting to be cautious to confirm that Mannering is the correct choice of trade.

Nope, I've got no one else at all. I've got 6 keepers in the forwards, 3 sub $200k mostly red dot fuckwits, and Packer Embarassed

Go with your gut mate. If your not sure hold Packer this week and if he pulls out a 25-30 you can always go Mannering next week.

My gut don't know shit Razz But I'm not usually so hesitant about trading so maybe it's best to leave it a week.

Watch as Mannering scores 100 and Packer gets 20 Mad

That's getting too subjective, that's like trying to be the bunker ruling a try or not. Everyones got a different opinion. This way, its simple, most negative stats in a week win the award, it just happens the award is named the "Carter" award (maybe because of that hooking he got in round 4)

If it were called "most negatives of the week" award, it would be a simple black and white ruling each week and we wouldn't be having this debate, but because the word "Carter" is used it becomes more complicated then it should be. Simple Simon, if you wanted more subjectivity to it just award the winner the biggest fkwit/dumbshit of the week without calculating negative fantasy points, but everyone would have a different opinion each week.

Hypothetically, if my final squad was to look something like this, would it be solid enough or is it lacking a couple of Uber guns?:

    Smith, Friend
    Graham, Fifita, JBrom
Surgess, JTurbo, 3 of (Whitehead, ET, SST, Cartwright)
    Hunt, JT, Norman
    Aitken Dugun Hurrell

I wish I started with: Hmmm Teddy? I guess, since I still don't have him yet but want him in, having him to begin with would alleviate that problem.. Razz
my genius pick: I wanted to say BJ but too many others have, can't be considered genius if everyone does it Sad I don't have one then I guess.
worst single trade: TBD - I can't find the trade history on the android app :S - Edit: Ok So it was probably bringing in Grevs, I think it was Rochow to Grevs.
best single trade:As Above. Was probably bringing in Tohu when he bottomed out but I don't remember who for. Edit: Ok looks like it might have been Carter to Tohu, when he bottomed out and scored me 76 as a thank you for the faith.

So I have never posted my team or talked much about it but I think I am sitting in a reasonable position. My aim is to try and get in into league 1 on here next season.

    Parcell Granville

    Trbojevic Bromwich James (E'sese)

Burgess Lowe Whitehead Cartwright (Edwards, Carter)

    Hunt Norman Taylor  (Hughes)

    Lawrence Aubusson (Gutherson Auv'a)

    Munster Radradra Aitken (Mitchell Bowen)

18 Trades left 190k in the bank.

    Current rank of 1333

That current team with a trade here or there each round will give me a full 17 in every round. Plenty of trades and cash out players out to update my side for the final run home.

Anyone have anything to add or something I should be trying to do differently.

If Talakai can get a Hatty that would be nice also. If both Mitchell and JDB don't play this week he might be my AE....

18 trades ?! Asians are so good with numbers Wink

Roosters are soon to play their last bye in round 16, Granville to Friend.
Other than that just get some more aggressive centres. Jealous of your setup for the run home

I wish I started with: Tedesco, I had him all preseason but the fiasco with Cherrington made me pull the plug to free up cash for Peats and Segeyaro.. both of which were injured.
My genius pick: I started with Graham? I know not many people started with him but everyone has him now, just a saved trade I guess.
    worst single trade: PatMat.
best single trade: Whitehead, got him before he got expensive. Cheers Welshy!
I can't believe: I listened to you lot and started with Nathan Green.

Should I bite the bullet and bring in Tedesco/Munster this week for Mitchell/Holland or wait until after rd 18?

Every other position is set apart from a Mansour and a Hodgson or Parcell upgrade.

I could of went granville to friend this week but figured the dollar value between the two will close more and got a feeling Granville will score a heap on Monday night.

Yeah I have been very smart with trades this year as well as injuries. I dont think I have made a bad trade this year.

I want Teddy but has a pretty high BE and two byes, maybe some origin, to come. Tough call, maybe get Munster first.
