Ha yeh the funny thing is HS - Mcguire still does all that shit anyway, dropkick of the highest order.

Nah, Hodges was funny. McGuire is letting his aggression and passion lift his competitiveness to borderline rudeness.

I wouldn't say he's gone too far yet, but he's on the cusp of either becoming NSW's next "Most Hated" (which is a good thing), or going completely over the top and being irrevocably known as a twat.

Personally I think Origin (and the code in general) needs a few people to hate. It's when you go to far that even your supporters cringe a little that you've got to dial it back.

In isolation: the JJ head rub I enjoyed. Actually, I laughed out loud. The tweet.... not so much. They're the jokes you share with your mates... not the world!! Lacks class

last night was carty all over, gave away some dumb penalties, couple of terrible defensive efforts but also was brilliant with the ball

if he gets all errors, defensive failures out of his game, he could be anything, sky is the limit type talent but he still has so much to work on and that's why i still back the decision to not pick him games 1 and 2 because of it.

Dead rubber @ home is pretty tempting to give him a taste tho

    Peachy goes OK!

Did anyone see when he slid into the fence? Rabbitoh gave him a clap on the shoulder, then went to grab the ball. Peachy's crumpled over it, so the player (was it Burgess?) thought "nahhh - I'm not a prick, i'll just walk off".

Then the ball boy ran in, reached under Peachey (still in obvious pain, couldn't get up), and yanked on it a bunch of times until he got it out.

    What a germ.

peachey did grab it on purpose, so i can understand the player (who i think was the nutty professor) trying to get the ball until he saw the ref call time off

but i don't think the Souths trainer should be able to do anything there, certainly has no right to touch an opposing player in any situation, even more so when they could be injured. the club should be fined

Klemmer confirmed as the bloke who punched a hole in the wall at Suncorp Stadium. Scary.

This is the team I would pick for game 3 if I were you kents.

    1. Tedesco
    2. Mansour
    3. Dugan
    4. BJ
    5. Roberts
    6. Cartwright
    7. Maloney
    8. Woods
    9. Peats
    10. RCG
    11. Jackson
    12. Graham
    13. Merrin

    14. J Bird
    15. Klemmer
    16. Fifita
    17. Frizell

Look to the future and a much better side in my opinion minus the experience obviously.

Good to see everyone jumping on board the "Pick young blokes and let them build a great side" theory

I hope you pick all the old kents, because we will beat them like we always do.

No third party agreements in origin.

Just a core of players from the Storm built up over many years of cheating.

It makes you wonder how a team who has half the player eligibility can win 10 out of 11 series.

Because we have been EXTREMELY lucky with multiple once in a generation players, a few of which could be said are the best player in their given position of all time.

    That's a good side.

They might get flogged straight up, but if you kept that mob together for game 3 and all of the next series (well, most of them, say, 13 plus), I doubt it'd be long before they won. And with the young guns, winnings breeds confidence, and they'd probably get a roll on.

Lucky Gallen is getting a swansong, and Daley "wont be making wholesale changes". It warms my heart....

As a player, I like Gallen. I'd have him in the Broncos in a heartbeat. But fuck me, he's not within cooee of being the sort of player who deserves to be selected to have a swansong.

Different sport, but Ian Healy was keeper of the century, playing in a team that had won a dozen in a row, we're playing at his home track, which happens to be the ground with Oz's best record, and he couldn't get a swansong, so no way Gallen should.

I don't understand the hype around Gallen, yes he is the captain of NSW but he has won one series as a leader. Hell he has won one series with him in the side, I think he's a serviceable player but I really never stood the talk of him being an elite player. I even read that there was talk he'd become an immortal which nearly made me spit out my Chinese Green Tea. Thought I must have been in a coma for ten years and missed something decent from him. Only really good game I have seen him play was the 80 minute game at prop in Origin.

Gallen is better than McGuire but if Gallen was named an Immortal I would quit watching NRL as I would have no faith in humanity.

    JT, yes.
    Smith, yes.
    Lockyer, yes.
    Fittler, maybe.
    Inglis, no.
    Slater, no.
    Gallen, fuck no.

An unfortunate side-effect of fantasy football.

Edit: and by that I mean idiots who believe Fantasy players equals good players.
