I was probably going to play Talakai in R19 too.

Doubt I was the only one

This. For me he's not just any cash out either, he's the cash out that allowed me to go from on-a-bye-Bateman to Ryan James. A keeper and a huge boost to my team this week.

Plus Talakai scored better then Auva'a so extra points for me cheer

He was primarily a cash out. He cost 135k. He just scored 32 more points then an NPR cash out, and he did that in a major bye round as a bonus. Anyone who traded him in was only hoping that he scored some points this round and then disappeared forever.

How is that a waste of a trade when everyone is starting to compile their final 17/18?

At this stage for my team personally he is proving to be a very valuable trade.

You will regret it if you were to run out of trades before finals due to injuries + suspensions.

It's all part of the game - the only regret I'll have with him is if he continues to play after round 19

He fit the perfect bill for a cashout...cheap, playing a bye round and not likely to play again. If you were getting him for points or money making ability then you've got the wrong idea for what a cash out is

I've had a tonne of regrets. Talakai has not been one though, just wish he was 128k instead of 135k :p I had Bateman to cash out and now Matthews to cash out next week, so I need another npr probably next week.. Wish there were more talakais to be honest

Also, I should probably take radradras 62 as a VC over mannering's potential C score right? pretty close to call but its money in the bag. very similar to my last loophole option of bunt and graham

I think Mannering will score around the same so wont really lose much either way.

Hindsight won't win you anything. On that logic you'd never make a trade because anyone can get injured the first game you have them.

but then in that instance cashing out for him would have been the problem, not the injury.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but for those that brought him in, he was a cashout at a basemen price which he was at 135k, and he scored some points in a major bye round. The only difference between doing the trade for him vs cashing out someone like Gutho for a no name CTR/WFB after the byes is that this particular cash out got injured.

Eventually you have to start cashing out players, and for those that brought him in as a cash out this week he more than did his job in my opinion. Would I have liked to have him on hand for rd 19, sure but I didn't have him in my team plans 2 weeks ago so can't really complain that he's not there anymore

I'd take Semi's VC score - not much chance Mannering will thrash that (even if he gets an 80 it's only 17 point you've missed out on

Lock in the safe score now rather than run the risk of an injury and a really low score

261/6 with 10 inc (c) to come. I need a big one because my R13-14 were shithouse, dropped from 682nd to 1370th.

62 is a fine captain score so would probably lock it in. as others have mentioned, Mannering would need a massive game for you to actually feel like you screwed up by chosing to VC semi, whereas the risk that Mannering just has an average point game or an injury/concussion test/reduced minutes means that there are multiple ways for him to have a below par score

Should have a solid team to pick from - hopefully CS9 backs up from Origin again
If he does I'll have 21 to pick from

    Round 18 I'm down to 13 then 19 for round 19
