Someone want to do a run down of the best Panthers and Sharks players to look at?
Top 5 averages from each team?
Top in each position from each team?
    Potential keepers + potential cash-outs?

Certainly up there; looking at the match up tonight I see no reason for that to change unfortunately either.  I must say I have enjoyed watching te Titans this year though, they have been diabolical the last few seasons and were not expected to do anything this year either.

Yeah I've really enjoyed watching the Titans play surprisingly

I don't think anyone from the Sharks is worth buying to help with round 18.
The only keepers are Fifita and Gallen who will be out for origin, and Barba who everyone already has.

Top 5 averages are Fifita, Gallen, Ennis, Graham and Barba. The top 2 will be in origin and the next 2 are next in line.

As for cashouts, I would guess that Nu Brown, Sene-Lefao and maybe Kurt Capewell will get a run with the origin guys out. The first 2 have played in previous years so aren't cashouts, and Capewell isn't in the system yet. Capewell's a 2RF/CTR but they'd probably only add him in as 2RF.
    Maybe Jordan Drew as well?

In conclusion, I wouldn't buy any Sharks for the remaining bye rounds.

Is he related to Luke Capewell? The Broncos saviour of 2012?

I think I heard him mention in an interview once that they are cousins? Though don't quote me on that.

Every time I look at your avatar, it makes me smile.

Capewell was a "capable first grader", in other words people wondered how he kept getting a first grade gig.
Others here may disagree, most likely Rabbitohs fans.

its that time of year to bring some facts to the table.

Here are the players that Prozone outscore compared to NRLStats. AKA the Fanhub favourites
(Minimum 5 games played. A few notable players not checked because Prozome and NRLStats spell their names differently and I couldn't be stuffed trying to correct it, eg Elliot Whitehead, BJ Leilua, Matt Moylan, Sio Suia Taukeiaho)
I have subtracted kicks defused and try saves from the Prozone score because I don't have that data for NRLStats

Name                              GP, Prozone , NRLSTats ratio

    Brett Stewart992731.260273973
    Peter Mata'utia684671.253731343
    Matthew Wright546371.243243243

    Manu Ma'u125705071.124260355
    Kenny Edwards134794281.119158879
    Raymond Faitala-Mariner72021811.116022099

You'll notice that the traduitonal "Fanhub Favourites" aren't on the list. ie whenever someone whinges about player A being a "stats guys favourite" they are probably talking out of their bottom.

Andrew Fifita ranks 74th on the list. Shaun Johnson ranks 107th.

At the bottom of the list. These are the guys obviously owned by NRLSTats in whatever comp they are scoring for.
The ones outscored by NRLStats compared to prozone

(as before, min 5 games, some players not checked due to spelling differences, kicks defused and try saves removed from prozone scores)

Also for both tables, does not include current round scores

Love seeing you guys discussing the tackle breaks. Not sure if anyone has noticed the big difference between SJs and Teddys..... Teddy was still 'taken to ground' a lot last week when he 'broke the tackle' and didn't manage to get back up, these tackles do not necessarily count as missed tackles, hence the lower TB count number last week. Typically he stays on his feet in these situations.

Every single stat goes through 2 sets of eyes (of 2 people in 2 different offices/countries) before the score updates the next morning. The chance of there being 'favourites' is non-existent.

tackle break is and always has been fending off a player irrelevant of which way you're running.
Hayne got numerous breaks running sideways and fending off several players.

Tackle breaks inconsistenly get given for attempted tackles where the player doesn't even lay a finger on the player, same way that this may or may not count as a missed tackle.

SJ running through JWH/Napa looks like it was a tackle break even though neither of them touched him.
For me, that's a line break and a tackle break is where you actually break a tackle, not run past someone who is trying to tackle you.

I feel like they're handing them out like candy this year
    .

But only to certain players, who in my opinion, are earmarked for 'whatever' reason. It is a total farce. I have scored players and there has been a 30 point difference. Seriously, there needs to be an enquiry into this.

It may as well. If it's confirmed he's signed, he can fuck off. I'm sure Maguire and the team feel the same way. He's a trouble making, overrated little fuckwit. Cya.

Oh how the tables have turned. I thought you were talking him up as a future origin half a couple of years ago. Keary and Reynolds were meant to be the future for Souths and a dominant halves pairing for years to come. Air Quote
