PARRAMATTA Eels star, Semi Radradra is leaving for a nine months contract with a French Rugby Club, after the Round 17 of the National Rugby League competition in Australia.

Elder sister Vaseva Waqavatu confirmed this yesterday.

Speaking from Taveuni, she said their parents were aware of Radradra's sudden switch because of personal issues.

Waqavatu said her brother flew into the country on Saturday after he was granted permission to visit his family.

"Semi had discussed his move with my parents and we are supporting him 100 per cent," the Year 2 schoolteacher said.

Waqavatu said Radradra would return to Australia for the Eels match against Cronulla on July 2.

She added he would be in Taveuni later this week to spend some time with his parents and sibblings.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported that it was understood the Eels were willing to consider allowing him to play in France from August until next April on the condition that he will return to the Eels for the next three seasons.

It was also reported that the 24-year-old's departure to Fiji last weekend, had been compared to Sonny Bill Williams sensationally walking out on Canterbury in 2008 to play rugby union for Toulon in France.

A statement issued on Saturday night by the Parramatta Eels stated that they expected Radradra to return before the Cronulla match.

"The Parramatta Eels can confirm that Semi Radradra has been granted permission to return to Fiji for a short family visit during the bye round," the statement said.

"He is expected to return to Sydney in time to prepare for the club's next NRL game against Cronulla.

"Semi Radradra is contracted to play for Parramatta Eels until the end of the 2017 season, and has given no indication that the contract will not be honoured."

I'm toying with the idea of Mitchell to Tedesco and Whitehead to RJames

Only 7 trades left tho so I'm possibly just going to have to lump it with no James

(Potentially need a few trades in hand for Semi/Parcell)

    7 trades?

Whitehead is a keeper for you, easily.

You will need most, if not all of those 7 trades for the run home.

No way he comes back for one game and then leaves for good.
He's either gone now or he's staying.

In other news, Semi leaving will be nothing but good news for Gutherson and French's scores.

My issue is that if I trade him for anyone, it was going to be Friend, who is on the bye.

So might just sit on him. Asiata can come in if Parcell is ruled out late

Yeah I'll just have to play Williame if Parcell isn't playing lol

That's what I was thinking, why come back for one club game when the team is stuffed anyway. Looks like a trade.

Semi --> Mannering via Claw I think.

With Semi gone I reckon Semi to B Moz will be a popular trade this week.
Oh it's not a joke, its fact. Razz

Hopefully Bmoz goes BIG as I have him in Ultimate and could benefit from another 40+ point scorer in my WFB.

So Holland should be safe one more week, you'd think with JMorris injured.

What a disastrous season for the Eels... and fantasy coaches who loaded up on Eels due to bye coverage. Sad

Yeah, sucks. The thing is it unfortunately doesn't benefit Guth at all.

This week is looking like being a mess for my team.
Parcell out means I will have no hooker (Friend is my other) and I was already going to run with only 2 WFB and cop a crappy AE from my good mate Christian Welch (or other equivalent).
So looks like I may be 1.5 players short.
I've got the cash to go Parcell to Smith in 1 trade, but for some reason I don't really want to. Doing so will probably mean my backs will be stuck til the end being super weak with no Munster or Tedesco.
    What to do?

Hmm. Think I might hold Semi for a few weeks until I know 100% he has left. Too much BS floating around at the moment - much like a pre game NSW pep talk.
