Why the hell do you have Host in your team? How many trades do you have?
He was a $130k cashout that was DPP that I didn't think would be playing.
8 trades left.

You need exactly 17 players (Or less) playing to pull it off, you also need to make sure you can swap out your Captain for a player, that isn't listed as a reserve or not playing. This means you can't do it with Smith.
He absolutely can use the loophole with Smith, as long as his VC plays before Luke (and preferably plays in tonight's game). Surgess the only real viable option, maybe Walker if you wanted a real left field option.
If Surgess goes big, swap Luke and Smith. Then put the 4th reserve (that was previously on Luke) on any other NPR and you are away.
The limiting factor is if Chee-Kam ( or any of the other guys he hasn't mentioned) play a game, then they will be the AE instead of Smith, and everything is stuffed. So in this case

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 41
The golden run continues with hughes solving the 17th man issue this week
C.smith (hodgson)
R.James, Surgess (bromich) [kafusi]
Merrin, B.Thompson, Mannering (T.turbo) (whitehead) [TKO]
Cleary , Johnson [feeny] [matterson]
Aitken, Leilua [gutherson][manu]
Rapana, munster, huges [semi][french]
The VC on aitken as he should tear up this weekend vs his rookie cntr oposition. Also knights are the no1. team for oposinging wingers and cntr's to score points on statistically
As always the C on smith ((worked for mer great all year so far!)
2 trades this week
mitchell-> rapana
taylor-> merrin
was going semi->teddy (figured i would do it anyway and the trade would give me a 17th) but with hughes likly named thats 17, I'll wait a week see the semi situation then reasses the trade come rd 20
leaves me with 6 trades left after 18 (as im set till then) which will be probably, semi ->teddy, TKo> gallen, Whitehead> fifita, cleary/matterson> thurston/cartright and hogson/gutherson> nuff to fund it all.
Hopefully that will sneak me from 12th to first over the next few weeks. Deathriding Graham as i must be the only one in the top 500 who dosn't have him lol
good luck this round lads

God fucking dammit they voted leave. Fmd why didn't I transfer pounds to dollars before the vote whyyy. How am I going to make a sound fantasy decision this morning after this news. If my ranking drops faster than the pound at least I'll have an excuse

careful with Opacic, I'm seeing whispers around that Kahu will be a late in, though one would think surely Eden will be the one to make way.

Watching the challenge cup on foxtel and Fifita scored two tries on debut and is monstering the opposition forwards. Looks like he could be a great buy for Wakefield.

Some of the best forwards in the game are Super League products though. James Graham, Sam Burgess and Josh Hodgson. Other guys like Whitehead and Cooper are high quality as well.

Good on him. He was never going to be able to get out of Andrew's shadow while he was here. It must be tough being an identical twin if your sibling is always considered better than you.

Am I absolutely nuts considering Buhrer as a NPR downgrade for Parcell/backup for Smith? Not bottom price but seems to be in the right bracket to do the job. And 40 grand cheaper than Wallace, which will come in handy. But doesn't play the next bye and is breakable...

You are absolutely nuts mate. Wallace is a much better option if you wanted to go for a downgrade option for Parcell. Get you at least 40 a week with some high tackle counts or heavy involvement in attack occasionally bumping up those scores.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 41
Ok guys, anyone able to give some advice here. Team has been going good but this bye round was always going to fuck me (particularly halves and wfb)
8 trades left. 50k in the bank.
Smith, Parcell
JBrom, Surgess, JGraham, JTurbo
Manners, Friz, ET, Chew Kam, Tauk, Benry
DCE, Hughes, Norman, Matterson
Bird, Aitken, Auva'a, Talakai
Munster, Semi, Guth, Mitchell, Feeney
Not really sure what to do either as any potential trades either would need to involve a downgrade to get cash, or are with guys not playing e.g Hardaker

Dumb question - if I put the (c) on Parcell and traded him out for Smith would Smith get the big C?

I think you are unable to trade out some one with a vc or c on them
