Here's Leeds's CEO talking about potential player movement (bottom of article). May be smoke and mirrors but sounds like any immediate move for Segeyaro is dependent on Hardaker going the other way (Hardaker would be an excellent mid-season pick-up, by the way, both in real life and fantasy terms). The other thing worth mentioning is that Leeds have a full overseas quota so for Segeyaro to come it would mean someone - most likely the useless Beau Buffoon - would have to be paid up and deregistered.

Really odd and surprising to see him out like he is. Thought he was really good for them and must be more to the story

Never mind. Bromwich found not guilty, free to play.

Really tempted by Parcell to Wallace. 3 round avg 47, BE 27, plays rd 18, plays 80min, Griffin seems to love him there and frankly he is doing really well there. Also frees up about 90k and gives me 17 for this round. And if there's a late exclusion I could then afford Mitchell to Ted. EDIT: Smith is other Hooker and Wallace would just be cover

Would probably need to aim to make my reserves for final 17, 2 x FRF and 2 x 2RF however which wasn't my original plan, but with Friend's avg come off a bit might be better.

    Thoughts?

Sub 50 at hooker isn't keeper material.

Care to explain what's wrong with my thought process rather than a sweeping statement? He would not be in my final 17 as I've stated.

I am considering this. Kind of. I don't know pale My other hooker is Friend and bringing in Smith at his current price really screws up every other plan I had for my entire team.
I calculated Wallace's average at hooker to be 45, so a bit better than his overall average, but still not great.
So sorry, I have nothing useful to offer. But I would also appreciate advice on this topic, if anyone has any. Or else any other VALUE hookers I may be overlooking.

I think its all good mate, though depends on your other players
It's not like previous years where all the hookers were smashing out big scores, with the reduced interchange and the chopping/changing of their minutes there are less 'must have' hookers.
Plenty of over 50 2RF/FRF players this year so can't see why it wouldn't work

I mean for similar value you could have Parcell 50/Napa 50 or Wallace 47 (rd3 avg) /James (61)

Just remember Wallace is a 2 trades gone, one in, one back out unless you shift him into your halves and use as cover for the run in mate

ideally you want Smith and one of Friend/Parcell/Lichaa (if Garvey disappears) as your final 2 hookers

I'm confused Welshy, are you saying that I need a 50+ hooker as cover for Smith even if I don't intend to play him in my 17? I was thinking that Wallace just sits there as an 18th/19th man.

Gee that's kinda different. I feel like Smith is a must have and you wouldn't go trading out Friend, so I'd be trying to work out ways to get Smith, if that helps.

Bit of a read of DCE and TTurbo:

    http://www.zerotackle.com/surgeries-looming-for-manly-stars-22538/#X07O2gId74Jl48kT.97

Manly coach Trent Barrett says Daly Cherry-Evans and Tom Trbojevic will both have ankle surgery at the end of the season but will play on through the discomfort as the Sea Eagles try to unearth some hope in 2016.

"Tom is on one leg. He will have ankle surgery at the end of the year. So will Cherry," Barrett said.

"The people I feel sorry for are these blokes [playing]. You people don't see, the fans don't see, how hard Jake [Trbojevic] and the rest of these players work. They're up against it. It's bloody hard. It doesn't get any easier... we've got to go to Townsville next week.

"But there hasn't been a game this year where they've given up. And they won't."

Will be keeping a close eye on DCE's scores, I'm planning to bring in Johnson after round 18 so it'll either be DCE or Cleary to go

Yeah, damn Friend and his recent drop in gun-ness ruining everything.
I think for you, though, it sounds like a feasible plan. I can understand your reasoning.

My problem is that I didn't have any idea what I was doing for the first 5 weeks or so and made a royal mess of my team. As such, my team value is only $8.6 mil, which seems to be way less than everyone else around here. I was thinking I might just need to give up and realise I can't have all the best players in every position. Eh, I dunno Bang
