Definite troll. I thought your comment surrounding people not knowing their limits and a random RSA comment was a typical Bronco response to divert the spotlight and sweep an issue. The fact is a decent human being drunk or not doesn't treat a woman the way he did, and the average person doesn't need a RSA and be dragged out of a club by their head.

Rather than admonish it felt you were making an excuse for this grub.

Looking back on my post I can see how it may have come across as though I was making excuses for Roberts (I did not intend my post to come across this way). At that time I did not know the full extent of his actions as I had only read bits and pieces of it on Twitter. My previous post was alluding to patrons at pubs and clubs who do not understand the rules and regulations that all bar staff must follow regarding responsible service of alcohol. Now that I know the full story I personally believe Roberts should be stood down and should not be playing this week vs the Bulldogs.

If all he did was be kicked out of a pub with no complaint by the police, pub or anyone else, then I'm sure everyone can agree that no sanction from the NRL is necessary. If there was more to it the that, such as seriously abusing a barmaid, then a fine might be appropriate but that's it at most from the NRL.

If the club wants to penalise him further for failing to meet club standards, then that's up to them based on what expectations had previously been discussed. Calls for the NRL to stand him down tonight are no more than Bronco bashing.

Getting kicked out of a pub/refused service is very different to being dragged out in a sleeper hold. If he has in your words seriously abused a barmaid than he deserves much more than a fine from the NRL. At this point I don't think he should be stood down tonight pending the investigation but if it's found that he abused anyone a fine just won't cut the mustard.

Worked in a bar for years...
100% common thing to happen - happens every day at most bars if not 10x a day.
Bloke has a skinful, gets cut off, calls anyone he can see a fuckwit, gets escorted out by security.

As far as the incident its self - its a non issue really, its a wider problem in society and in bar culture.

The real concern is why the fuck he is getting blind on a tuesday night or whatever it was.
He should NOT be playing tonight, surely its against the team culture/rules - especially for a bloke who has been punted from not one but two league clubs for issues involving grog.

Another week without Maranta for another win. Is anyone else seeing a pattern emerging here?

You better start looking over your shoulder saying things like that. Maranta's only fan is a complete nutcase.

He didn't mean to kick him in the head, sure, but he did kick out for no reason. That's a couple on the sideline for me.

Parker is a sook is what I took out of it.

Kas apologies twice to him and he was real immature about it.

Right off it happened? Hmm maybe. If he approached me like Kas did and said it wasn't on purpose I might of.

I would have 100% after the game where Parker showed, what I believe, as poor sportsmanship. He's lucky he's retiring this year, he's starting to let his nice guy image slip a little over the last two years.

There's an unwritten law of football, what happens on the field stays on the field. The way he carried on in the interview shows he's having a sook. Said he accepted the apology and then keeps going on about how he thought it was deliberate. You either accept it and move on or you don't and shut up. Poor form.

Then Bennett going on with it in the press conference shows a man under pressure.

I kinda agree HS, but kinda dont.
One game a bloke deliberately booted me in the back of the head after I scored a try - I didnt shake his hand after and told him to fuck off when he tried to shake mine.
I also had a guy do something basically the same as what Kasiano did to Parker, but he kicked me in the guts and it made me spew everywhere for about 5 mins, I didnt shake his hand after and told him to fuck off when he tried to shake mine.

IMO it was a deliberate kick - would have fucking hurt - isnt a footy play and isnt in the spirit of the game.

Carrying on in the interviews and stuff is a bit much but not wanting to shake his hand and questioning it on the field is fine IMO.

Bennett has lost control of this team. He's not the supercoach mentor he use to be.

    Time to bring Griff back.
